hen did they buff the sentinel beam? Its used to be so weak but now its just insanity. It kills from a long distance away faster than a magnum can perfect kill you. On empire (doubles) the sentinel beam spawn very often in the center. Its so easily accessible and abused. I was playing doubles with a friend and we lost 22-25. Funny thing is both of the people in the enemy team got over 8 sentinel beam kills and could not beat either my friend or any in any other situation. We could do nothing. It melts over shield so that doesn’t work and double teaming couldn’t do anything either because they both had sentinel beams which just melting us. It was ridiculous. A weapon that takes such little skill should not be so stupidly powerful.
Um, what? They would announce if they buffed/nerfed anything. So either, A: You haven’t used it yet, or B: They did buff it.
I think it’s always been relatively powerful in Halo 5. I remember tearing a Ghost to bits with one in Warzone shortly after its release, so I don’t think it’s been buffed at all.

Yah it’s actually pretty good, but I think people don’t realize that because there’s little aim assist and magnetism with it.
I tried using it once in wz but I died and didn’t kill anyone, I thought “wow I’m never using this again”
Perhaps I should give it another try.

no my friend and I used it in a custom game after and it shredded. We tried magnum vs it and sentinel one everytime no matter who was using it.
its actually useful now? last time I used it was weaker then a non charged plasma pistol shot.
I’ve never found it to be any good but if it had limited bullet magnetism then it’s probally latency depending to whether I get any kills. I tend to only get assists with it. I’ve never found it to even do much to vehicles.
I just use it in Firefight. It does work against Rok, Master of Tanks
It’s been good as far as I know. Real fun against vehicles too
You can hit the sweet spot on a Phaeton nicely.
The Sentinel Beam fulfills a similar niche as the Brute Plasma Rifle as a heavy disruption weapon (that can melt apart shielding) though it has some actual killing power compared to the former.
It’s quite fun killing people with a concentrated beam from a fair distance.
Funny, I remember how everybody was complaining it was terrible at the beginning, so, I have no clue what happened.
I still have yet to try it out. I have a few saved up, I just forget it exists. Perhaps I should go into a wz game with my only goal to be trying it out

Sentinel Beam Vs. Magnum? Maybe all of the magnum users were just bad…
I get them in super fiesta all the time and usually start shooting at someone right around the time a rocket hits me in the face. The thing is trash unless they buffed it and didn’t tell anyone.

Well, it is a beam weapon. I don’t know many of those that use aim assist or magnetism in games.
Maybe I should give it another go…
It’s powerful when you’re a consistent shot.
It destroys vehicles. One of my favorite things about it!
