Easily the craziest grand finals we’ve seen in years. Not only was it an upset, but two back to back game 5’s? Optic snuffed Cloud9 50-21 in the final match? Jeebus.
If you watched the full NA qualifier its crazy just how different every match was compared to the grand finals… Before the grand finals it felt like a bunch of slow yet super close matches, more akin to Halo 3 in my opinion. In the Grand Finals Infinite showed off its potential. Crazy outplays featuring Grapple/Repulsor.
There are some other stories here, like Sentinels reign of dominance being questioned, and the overall rise of newer players, but all I wanna say is that competitive Halo is back!

Well if you watch Optic Gaming and Cloud9 before the Grand Finals, they look like completely different teams. So its almost as if that there was some sort of unwritten agreement that pros would hold back or something idk.
The real question is if Sentinels are going to stay together for very long… they finished #3 I believe so its not like they are terrible, but by their standards that is underwhelming.
