Does anybody else get tricked by holograms a lot in this game? I could easily tell if it was a hologram or not in Reach. But in Halo 4, it is so hard to tell and I always end up putting a couple bullets into them, as long as I don’t see someone making a hologram. What are your thoughts on the hologram AA? Do you like it or prefer the Reach version? By the way, nice job on the upgraded AA, 343i.
Yes, it’s now very effective.
Its hilarious to watch someone run up behind a holo for a 'sin kill and instead they get ganked by the holo maker. I love it. I just wish it was more…robust. At times its unmasked to easy, what with all the DMR rounds flying everywhere in most games. But its a great AA, definately one of my “go to” abilities.

One thing I noticed is that the radar mark for the decoy shows as an actual enemy instead of the blue mark like in reach. Assuming my memory is correct.

The only reason i use it is to t-bag
I completely forget about it in any other situation
i get tricked by it. i use it a lot and it gives me an advantage when some one shoots at it or goes to hit it. i just need to figure out a good loadout for it. any tips?
If it doesn’t have a name above it’s head it’s a Hologram, that’s the only way I know whether or not it’s a Hologram.
I love using hologram, especially when people waste power weapon ammo on it! My favourite AA by far!

I actually never noticed that. But usually the holograms just come around the corner and you see a red dot on your radar, causing you to unload on it and feel like an idiot lol.
Honestly, I do get tricked every now and then. It’s great that it’s more effective. That’s why I like it, and I trick plenty of others when I use it as well.
The added dot on the radar is equally as deceptive and effective as the actual hologram.
Of course it’s easy to spot if the user isn’t using it optimally.
But it has many uses in many situations. Still, my favorite use for it is the holographic tea bagging function. Those holograms almost ALWAYS distract enemies and draw fire.
I love the new holo. I used to never use the darn thing, but now it’s so fun to just trick people. tagged along with that is that the holos can actually t-bag now, if you send one on a dead body just right. WORKS PERFECTLY.

One thing I disagree with though is that Pro Vision is also fooled by Hologram.
Motion sensor is fine but Pro Vision should return NO IMAGE of a hologram as if it’s not even there.
Best ever use of hologram:
Step 1 - get sticky detonator
Step 2 - fire sticky grenade at the ground in the middle of a well traveled road
Step 3 - Hide nearby and place a hologram right on your sticky grenade
Step 4 - Wait for some idiot to drive by and attempt to splatter you with a ghost
Step 5 - Laugh hysterically

I disagree, i think Hologram is a great counter to Promethean Vision, and this is coming from someone that only uses Promethean Vision and hasn’t ever used a Hologram. After a while you can see the difference.

No actually…Hologram is still easily beaten…
I love using it though, it doesn’t DO anything to anyone but it IS useful for messing with someones Radar.
Making them think its 2 vs 1, until they see you, then they realize its 1v1, even though you may have gotten of a shot sooner, if they’re modding like 90% of people I find…you’re gonna lose.
The Motion Tracker is the only thing that keeps me from attacking them when they come around corners. If the Tracker was turned off, oh buddy, that would interesting.
