Essentially what I would like it to be able to hold right bumper instead of X (on default controls) to board vehicles. I feel like this is much more intuitive as vehicles boarding often happens in the middle of the fray and the right bumper allows one to be able to control their movement easily whilst pressing it as holding x means you have to take your finger off the left trigger (unless you fashion your hand into some ungodly manner)
What are your opinions on this?
Edit - To all the people saying change control scheme/ remap buttons, you’re not getting the point. What I desire is the ability to take the boarding command and move it from the use button (Default X) to the melee button (Default RB)

Well no duh, but I like having melee on right bumper too, and don’t like the other changes. What I’m getting at is being able to toggle weather boarding vehicles is tied to the interact button, or melee button.
I have not looked into this, but would it be nice to map your own button configuration?

You can do just that in your controller app for the xbox1. Just remember that it changes the layout for everything you do on your xbox and not just within Halo 5.

Maybe he claw grips? idk just a guess.
My biggest beef with the boarding mechanic being tied to the action button is that I always end up reloading or picking up weapons instead of boarding. I’ll get the prompt, hold X, then end up swapping guns because I sidestepped to avoid a splatter. If you missed the board, the reload animation takes you out of the action for a couple seconds leaving you exposed, or the weapon swap leaves you with a random weapon that was lying on the map.
Why do you take your finger of the left trigger to press x? You don’t use your thumb? And that “ungodly” manner that you speak of is called claw and it’s been around forever.
