So, since we have now been shown what all the future “Drops” will be, the two that aren’t quite obvious about what they contain are “Hog Wild” and “Ghosts of Meridian”. Let’s speculate about what could possibly be in these packs that could relate to their names!
Well, hog wild seems like a warthog based update. Maybe with a race mode, but mostly new warthog skins or a new variant.

Me neither! A bunch of classic variants for all of the weapons would be great! There seems to be alot of updates coming out involving planets that were tragically glassed. Reach, and Meridian. Also interesting note, the picture in Hog Wild uses the Halo Wars cutscene, maybe Halo wars content will come out alongside Halo Wars vehicles to help promote the new game
Do you think Ghosts of Meridian would be involving ghosts, like Hog Wild involves hogs?
They’re sort of like counterparts in Halo 5 at least.

I wouldn’t say old prototype, the mantis has crawlers drawn on it and it would appear that it is modified with forerunner and promethean tech which would have to be very new.
I am excited for all the updates, but the Reach one really caught my eye!

You mean the indestructible ones?!
Well people seem to be ignoring is the quite obvious BTB possibility. And the race gametype too. Back in the days the developers always referred to BTB maps being the ones where Warthogs run free. As much as it would be cool to get more Warthogs, do we seriously need more? There’s already like 15+ variants. And in Halo 5 BTB is lacking apparent support, but with this update we might be finally getting decent developer made maps that are “warthog friendly” unlike the maps in the current rotation.
I could still be wrong, but I think it’s pretty obvious and I’ve been trying to say it, but it’s not really sticking with people. But oh well, I wouldn’t be upset if it was more Hogs either.
Im in the dark with hog wild but ghosts of meridian looks like they could be bringin infection back. But for sure it has a new warzone map and a gauss mantis
Ghosts of Meridian could be a chance for a good Warzone map, with maybe a new boss? Like a Didact boss, or maybe a Brute Chieftan. I’d like to see maybe a falcon-type flyer, or Promethean ground vehicle.
As far as weapons go, I’m holding out for a MA37 skin, and maybe a new pistol. Like the H2 magnum with increase rate of fire, maybe with less damage and recoil.
I’m sure I’m not alone in this, but maybe the Chief’s armor permutation as a last send off for DLC.

Yeah I’m assuming the Meridian reference will just mean a new map focused on that planet. But you’re right, it would be cool to get new bosses like that
As far as 'Hog Wild goes, I’m expecting Race, and possibly a new 'hog variant (either the single-shot Rocket 'Hog from Halo PC, the Troop Transport 'Hog or something entirely new).
They’ve already teased Ghosts of Meridian content - two new Suppressors and a Mantis - but I’d guess a new Warzone map too, given that we haven’t had a new one in a while.
For Memories of Reach, I’m thinking some Reach-style armours (namely Jorge’s, Jun’s and/or Emile’s) and a Reach map remake (or a new map set on Reach) and maybe a couple of the following: a ‘classic’ DMR, a Needle Rifle, a Reach M45 Shotgun, or, if we’re really lucky, a Falcon.
My main hope, though, is that with the final update, they allow REQ weapons/vehicles in custom games/Forge.

I agree that those updates will most likely contain those items that you listed. I also want to see what is in store for the Memories of Reach update that is coming soon.
Ghosts of Meridian is so far very likely to introduce infection and maybe a few other gametypes
The rig remix will probably come since it is SET IN MERIDIAN so its the best opportunity to include it
New warzone map with more req’s and the new mantis to play with, hopefully new unique legendary bosses too
I am expecting the ghosts of meridian to be warzone focused, while still supplying content for arena
