Ho will replayable campaign missions work?

I’ve been thinking about this and am not sure how they will implement it.

Will we have access to our upgraded tech (e.g. level 5 drop wall etc.)…?

Will we have access to our max valor rocket hog?

A mission replay example:
Mission 9 - Pelican Down

For this mission the anti-air guns that are permanently destroyed when we return to the open world after completing the campaign will have to appear on the open world map as operational again.

If so, what if we ignore them and go off and do side missions again. We’d have completed everything else on the map but the anti-air guns are now restored.

It’s going to potentially lead to some weird situations.

Most missions like 1-3, 7-8 and 11-16 do not mix with the open world so should be fine but I think the mix of open-world and campaign missions/objectives are going to cause a bit of a headache when it comes to replayability.

What are people’s thoughts on this?

Maybe mission select will be instanced?

I think replayable missions should only open up once you’ve finished the campaign. You can start a new save at any point in time, and go back and essentially just pick up where you started earlier on during that save. That’s really the only way it would make sense to me.

So, in your example. You finish the game, but then there are just set “points”/autosaves where you can go back and pick up to where you were at that point in the game. You can go replay the Pelican Down sequence, and everything after that - or you can simply just play Pelican Down.

You might be right, although this would potentially reverse some equipment upgrades, Valor upgrades, Banished base clearances and FOB captures…

Still not sure on this, it will be interesting to see how they do it.
