although armor abilities are very useful. do they really have to be in the campain. i found it very annoying having to sprint and evade, etc. throughout every Reach mission. in evey other halo game, it took much more skill to play the game because if a vehicle was about to splatter you you couldnt just jetpack up, evade to the side, or armor lock-explode it. and when eniies were shooting at you, you had to find a rock or wall to get behind and wait for your shields to recharge. in Reach you just put up a dropshield or armor lock until your health goes back up. if there were no armor abilities in campain the game would be harder and more fun to test your true skills a a Spartan.
armor lock now can armor stand. you stand when your armor locks up haha i bet people will love that it was popular on reach lol

What is “HLO” ?
Its been confirmed that armour lock is removed if it makes you feel better.
Plus if you don’t want amour abilities in campaign then… Just don’t use them
Evade, Jetpack and Sprint (the movement-related AAs) are okay. Evade isn’t overpowered because, one, skilled drivers would know how to react against evaders and, two, it has only two uses before needing to recharge. I think Jetpack is absolutely NOT overpowered. Flying around makes you a target, easily audible, and throws off your accuracy. Camping on hard-to-reach spots can be easily fixed by something called “killzones”. And sprint… it’s hard to believe anyone would think sprint was overpowered in the first place.
I would like to see the following AAs in future Halo games (although it’s probably way too late in the development cycle to add them in now):
-Dual-wield. Dual-wield an SMG with your current weapon. Decreases accuracy by about 70% to balance, cannot reload SMG (when it runs out of ammo, you have to recharge it) and cannot use grenades. Also cannot reload current weapon when using this AA.
-Flame Armor. Radiate flame from your armor, setting nearby foes on fire. Balanced by two drawbacks - easy to teamkill, and actually damages your shields over time as you use them.
-Repulse - One use only before needing to recharge (for a VERY long time). Hurls enemies, objects, and incoming vehicles around you away (deflecting rockets, vehicles etc). Drains your shields to about half when you use it.
i think they should just bring back sprinting…
You must have been playing on easy mode. Armor lock does not last long enough to recharge your shields, and the drop shield doesn’t last long if there are lots of enemies or well armed enemies.
Plus, what’s the difference between jumping over a vehicle (Halo’s 1-3 had pretty high jumping) than quickly using your jetpack?
Armor abilities add variety, something that Halo titles have always been known for.
