HLG = AFC

What is the difference between the two? AFC players in FF go AFC to get cR by hiding and they do not kill the enemies. HLG players hide to win, but they also do not kill the enemies.
Now, who’s saying the point of MM is just to win and not to kill? And who says the point of FF is not staying alive? Hiding in FF not only gives you cR, but it also increases your commendations.
After all, does it matter if someone is AFC while hiding? What’s the difference between someone hiding (and therefore doing nothing) while holding his controller and someone not holding the controller?

Some videos of unfair HLG:
Sword base
Countdown
Boardwalk
And pratically any other map, I can’t be asked to search and link more.
Also:
Any map with forge walls

PS: I didn’t get reset for AFC’ing and this isn’t some sort of revenge against the system. I just find HLG unfair.

From what I have seen from those who are legit HLG, they do not AFC.
The good folk who HLG get kills to gain the lead, then find somewhere where they will not be found.

The people who hide right of the bat for a tie game are just idiotic greifers.

Solution to both? Kill zones in the right places.

Better solution? Remember that you are playing a game.

My opinions: LG is fine, the good kind. At least they gave a fight.
AFC should be credit permabanned. If you don’t want to play, turn off the Xbox. Other want to play and have a team with them actually contributing.

Wait dosent most HLG players get a few kills for the lead then go hide?
Anyway the Game/Player you are linking to that was HLG is allready Inheritor so it dosent matter to him if he gets a cR ban.

> Wait dosent most HLG players get a few kills for the lead then go hide?

They get a few kills to get the win (which is very unsportsmanlike, but whatever). FF AFC’ers only hide as they want to be 100% sure to not die, which will increase their commendations. Both of them have a purpose.

> Anyway the Game/Player you are linking to that was HLG is allready Inheritor so it dosent matter to him if he gets a cR ban.

That’s not the point.

Let me get this straight.

You, of “spawn killing is legit lol” thread fame, are saying you have found a tactic of play which you feel is unsporting and reprehensible?

Say it aint so.

I can’t agree with you on this anto since most HLG players I saw still have to babysit their player in case they are found.

You can’t really be AFC and still be there.

But anyway, in this case, the hider was just an idiot.

And if he hasn’t been credit banned, it seems more likely there is a consecutive games with 0 kills that the Hammer looks for, the most he had with 0 kills is two games. The biggest difference between them and an AFC person is the the HLG isn’t getting killed 15 times a game. I always see AFC’ers, and at the end I am more mad that they got killed 10 times, especially if the score is like 45-50, those 10 deaths make a big difference in the game. However in a 2 vs. 2 I don’t see the point, your team mate is just going to get ganged up on, and you will clearly lose the match. Why not just go HLG or AFC in team slayer, at least there are more people to cover the loss.

HLG, while definitely unconventional and somewhat ethically questionable…is still fair.

The point of Slayer is to out kill your opponents. HLGers who win do exactly that.

Denying the enemy to even touch you is not a fair way to win. That’s cheating.
Check the videos I posted and you’ll understand.

Oh…THAT HLG, I made the INCORRECT assumption you were a mad player who got cheated by legit HLGers using tricky spots and trick jumps. Not actual blatant cheating.

THOSE HLGers ARE bad.

Look guys the whole AFK, AFC what ever you call it problem is simple.

343i I hope your reading this cause you might learn something important.

If you want to get rid of ALL AFKing-AFC just make it so you get credits for killing and a little less for assisting.

If you dont get any kills or assist then you get ZERO credits! Its as simple as that. Dont give credits for just simply turning on your 360 and starting a game on Reach.
Make people earn their stupid ranks by actually killing enemies on MM, FF, Campaign.

The one with the most kills gets the most credits, the one with the least kills gets the least credits, the one who AFK, AFC with ZERO kills gets ZERO credits.

Lets say killing one Elite on FF gets you 5 credits “NOT POINTS”, then who ever kills 5 Elites and starts to just hide or AFK/AFC for the next 10 minutes then he/she gets only 25 credits after the game ends. Or do the COD/Gears thing that they get booted after sitting for too long. Same rules for MM and Campaign.

This is just an idea but I’m sure 343i will find the right formula and will balance it out to get the amount of credits one should get when fully playing and also limiting it on Customs.

Add Rank system and keep the cR as end-game bonus if you win for the Barbie dolls.

LMAO! here I thought Reach was not suppose to have glitches like this, I remember H2 getting hated for the many glitches but the ones on Reach look incredibly unfair. LOL!!!

Well your idea sounds better, keep the people who want rank happy and also the people who want stupid pretty armors as well! good thinking man.

I’m (sorta) ok with them hiding within the playable area, but I’m not ok when they hide out of the map.
The first hiding place is where that guy in my game hidden himself. I count this as out of the map as well.

LoL! nice to see some people still carry a little fire, Reach desperately needs every player they can get.

There’s an obvious difference between the two. AFC players go Idle in matches, so that they will not have to do any work, and they can get easy cR in the post-game lobby. HLG players will get a few kills, getting themselves in the lead through skill. Don’t tell me you haven’t seen these players fight to get the lead once the other team has it, or at the beginning of the match, racking up a few kills before the other team can score a single point. They actually have notable skill in the game. They go into hiding afterwards to both piss off the tryhards and win. And the true HLGers don’t go Idle; they stay in the game, often mocking the players trying to look for them.

Also, hiding isn’t against any rules at all, nor is it bannable. AFCing, on the other hand, is.

And that’s where the differences are. HLG does not equal AFCing at all.

> And that’s where the differences are. HLG does not equal AFCing at all.

Getting outside of a map and having unfair advantages (i.e: being able to shoot the enemy but the enemy can’t shoot you back) should be a bannable offense.
