Hitting updates out of the park 343

I just read the bulletin and am quite impressed, perhaps even more so than the last update which was STELLAR.

Just the release of the Castle map pack is enough to get me excited but the matchmaking playlist updates and debut of CSR makes this LEGENDARY.

6v6 team objective playlist? Yes please. 6 teams of 2 multi-team? Heck freakin yeah! Rumble pit featuring all of Majestic map pack, select stock maps, AND community maps?! Ok excuse me while I go quit my job cause IM SO FREAKIN STOKED!!

Now all this AND CSR is debuting for the first time since Halo 3. Yeah ok it’s not in game but its there and I can still track it. Now I have something to work for since I’ve been at 130 for pretty much ever. Hint hint…

All of this would make me giddy over the course of a couple months but it’s happening in one day. It’s actually quite insane.

6 teams of 2? what ever happened to 4 teams of 3.

still gonna go to halo tracker out of protest. also not that great i couldve made multiteam

Where’s the DMR fix?

They can adjust this stuff whenever they want now and they still have not specifically mentioned the DMR as an issue.

I hate when people use the phrase “too little, too late” but it just might be the case. I know I still like the game and I’ll still be playing it. It’s just too bad that many that have given up probably won’t return. I can see CSR(even being waypoint only) bringing some players back but nothing that will truly impact the player population. I just hope that something brings like back into Halo. I miss all the excitement my friends and I used to share when it came to these games. I feel like such a lone wolf on Halo 4.

For the one millionth time, sure, they have this new ability to tweak weapons. Fact is, though, the DMR does exactly what it is superposed to.

Prior to the launch of Halo 4, 343i in print and in videos, talked about the AR, BR and DMR. They explained what each could and could not do. They explained how to best use each weapon in different situations and which would out perform the other at what.

Shock!

Horror!

Each of the three weapons, the AR, BR and DMR have performed exactly how 343i stated they would pre launch, post launch.

So, again, why fix something which is not broken and performs how it was intended to?

Yes, and for the millionth time I know what you all will post but,it won’t make a difference.

It sucked

Honestly Multiteam in Reach was much better when there were six teams of two than when they made it four teams of three. I used to play with a friend (just one) and then they changed it and it became weird and I hated it. I am all for 2v2v2v2v2v2.

Halo 4 is getting better and better by the week, too bad so many have already left it :frowning:

6 v 6 objective is good, but its not what we wanted.

6 v 6 is no where near the same as what we wanted, 8 v 8.

Hopefully Big Team Battle comes soon, otherwise I will end up being very disappointed.

I don’t understand what’s fun in big team if it’s JUST slayer. It kind of sucks and gets boring fast, right? Part of the fun was all the objective gametypes and it really was one of the only playlists where people played to win in the post Halo 3 world. When it’s just slayer it’s meh.

4 teams of 2 will always be the best in my opinion

Big Team Battle

Big Team Battle has all kinds of different objectives, considering this game favours Big Team, they might as well but some objective into 8v8 and make it more enjoyable.
Big Team Infinity Slayer is awful, like you said. Slayer on its own is boring.

Multi team with two per team is not multi team… it’s gonna be don’t steal my kill team. Once again they screw with the tried and true formula of Halo.

Well not exactly. If my memory serves me correctly H3 was teams of 2. Anyway, I prefer teams of 3 as well, but this should be decided by what the majority wants. So go over to the matchmaking forum and make your views known, I’d be surprised if there wasn’t a poll on this very subject already.

If 3 is more popular than 2 then hopefully 343 will listen.

EDIT: Added a poll for you, https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst200233_Multiteam--teams-of-2--3-or-4.aspx?g=posts&t=200233&#

^ H3 ws indeed teams of 2 and so was reach early on. When it switched to teams of 3 i hated it and all the terrible game types it brought with it!
343 Good work in going back to multi team with just 2 players per team

DMR nerf/BR buff would be excellent imo but no need to discuss that further… think theres plenty of threads dedicated to that already!

Word up! This was the most exciting Bulletin in a while. Anyone who says 343 doesn’t listen probably doesn’t understand that in the adult, working world things take time to implement.

How good was this news? I did not like Ranks in Halo 3 but I felt Halo Reach/H4 missed the mark, too. This new CSR being playlist specific, though? Phenomenal. I’ll check out my ranks no matter where they’re posted now.

The game is only what, 5 months old? It’s but a pup! Lot’s of updates, tweaks, additions and subtractions on the horizon.

Keep up the good work, 343!

Yeah I actually did not enjoy that at all. 6 teams of 2 is the sweet spot

I’m not going to get fooled into being excited for things that should have launched with Halo 4 at this point. All my friends left this game months ago, and I’m done as long as they are. Not matter what they add we are still dealing with an unbalanced game 5 months after its release.

Legendary slayer is the only thing I can see stopping this game from bleeding out, but I’m not going to make any predictions before the details of that playlist are released.

Cya dude

It was never 4 teams of 2. It was 6 teams of 2, then they changed it to 4 teams of 3. 2v2v2v2v2v2 is the way to go, so fun, so frantic.

I haven’t been on these forums in months, haven’t played Halo 4 since release week, but a couple of things posted here almost made me cry.

The DMR is overpowered. It does not work as intended. At mid range and close range with a skilled enough user it will still beat a perfect user of the BR or AR. It has the lowest kill time. You CAN’T deny that. The facts are all over the net.

Secondly, hello Halo Reach player, but just to burst your bubble, multi team has been different each game that has been released, and Halo 3 had 4 teams if 2. Which was arguably the mist successful Halo title.
