It’s usually only for scoring a headshot, where you will have your reticle on a player’s head, but no headshot. It’s very frustrating. I haven’t had any lag as a side note, so I doubt it is a connection problem on my end.
probably lag I just had 3 awful games for hit registration, I feel when your assists go up and your getting a 1.0 kd ratio, you would basically be having a really good game if it hadn’t been for terrible server location… Ie I go from 20 0 10 to 10 10 10, normally a good indicator, being eu sucks
I agree. The magnum was my favorite weapon but over the past 2 weeks or so… It seems like all of my shots are not registering and I find myself using the AR more often
Same here, in BTB, I get a good amount of headshots and perfect kills with BR, but, on game types where you spawn with magnums, I’m having trouble finishing kills with headshots, I can see they have no shield (shot them 4 times), the reticle is in their face, I shoot (sometimes 2 or 3 shots), I get hit marker, but no headshot, it’s frustrating.
My internet is 50down/16up, so I don’t think it’s a lag issue on my side

I have the same problem… Assists = Kills…lol. Shoot for the head and rarely get it… Melee and always get beat to the punch when you know you had the first hit. I finally tracked it down to my TV, believe it or not. For me it was input lag from the controller to the TV. Nothing to do with 343 or my ISP. I googled the model of TV I have for gaming input lag. You would be surprised by what you find out. Options for this problem: Get another TV or purchase a gaming monitor. I have a new 4k samsung and found out the input was for fps games were unacceptable. “Sucks big time.”

That’s exactly what I was talking about in my response to OP. What happens is you take the shot and theirs up to a second delay. Your certain you missed… right. The guy you shot at runs into your bullet and gets killed.
My partner and I are having this problem too, we’re in UK. Seem to be playing awfully recently, I used to be good with the Magnum but now it just feels off…
