Hit markers and grenade indicators

What are you’re thoughts on hit markers and grenade indicators in halo? I dont know why but I hate them in halo for some reason. also I saw them in the remade halo 2 map in E3 i wonder if the other games in the collection have goten hit markers and grenade indicators.

I saw them as a welcome change, even though I didn’t like a lot of what Halo 4 brought to the table. But it’s all down to being given contextual feedback I guess. Knowing that you put a few shots on a guy from across the map before losing sight of him is a lot more reassuring in a way. Also, grenade indicators only help combat by, at the very least, giving you some sort of context to the load of shrapnel that just suddenly blew up in your face without you being aware, either because you were in a 1v1 gunfight or if you were locked in a very loud and hectic battle over a power weapon. So yeah, it’s about context I guess.

It helps clear up confusion so players don’t rage from mystery explosions.

I honestly don’t care about hit markers. Grenade indicators I’m 50-50 on, not really too worried about them. I guess for the sake of keeping the classic feel I would remove grenade indicators if I could, but hit markers are fine with me.

They’ll probably remove the Hit markers and Grenade indicators closer to launch.

Remember, when they showed off Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary they were using the Reach Assault rifle and Magnum and they changed it when it came out.

I think hit markers were kind of overdue for Halo, so I have no problem with that. As for grenade indicators, I suppose I’m not against it as well really.

If it wasn’t in the original game, I don’t think it should be there. If they claim it’s “untouched and in it’s original shape” then it should be untouched and in it’s original shape. Adulterating a previous game’s remake with features from newer Halo’s completely defeats the purpose of MCC
