Does anyone notice that the hit detection seems off over the last week or so?
When I run out of bullets. jj To be honest I think it has a few times but I can’t be certain since with the lag, freezes, skips etc. that the servers give out.
Yeah ive kinda noticed that. I was playing Team snipers and I aimed kinda near to an enemies head but in no way was it on target, when i fired i somehow got the kill.
I have noticed some hit detection issues, all though I’m pinning the problem on my high latency which I cannot fix unfortunately lol however I am thankful the hit detection is no where near as bad as Halo 3’s was back in the day (and still just as bad on the MCC).
Thanks for the input.

You know. Halo 3 is projectile based, and not hit scan like the rest of the Halo games.
Is Halo 3 MCC bad?
I’ve been noticing it blank melee half your shots just disappear game ends and the other team is from south America
It’s been doing it longer than a week , this is a serious problem with halo 5 but I noticed it worsened with the latest br and sticky grenede hot fix . Also it was a consistent problem with the master chief collections .
Op ive noticed this as well. I would say its been more like this the past two weeks. Very strange for sure. H5 never really has been outstanding specially for a game that is suppose to be on dedicated servers. There should be far more consistent games then what we are getting now. I’m thinking 343 may not be allocating enough bandwidth at there server levels. Ive watch this very closely and it seems to me that is the cause. Or something in the QoS is not right. Anytime they go in and update something in the game whether its reqs, new season reset, or content update. That exposes the game for something to go wrong. It makes me wonder if they ever go in and double check anything. Kind of scary to be honest.
At times, but hit-detection is mostly fantastic in this game…

I’m aware of this, projectile based systems are only good for certain weapons (Sniper, SPNKR, Plasma Weapons and hard light based weapons) a lot of people seem to think that it takes more “skill” because you have to lead your shots, I’m an avid range and gun owner and I can assure you most if not all of Halo’s maps are not big enough to make this matter with 90% of the weapons, it honestly baffles me to this day how Bungie could have released Halo 3 without knowing (they knew just didn’t care) their net code couldn’t handle projectiles very well, but then again we did get the MCC and a whole lot of other broken games since the, maybe they were ahead of their time.

Yeager ha
Yeah, all the time. I love shooting BB pellets.
Yeah I just played snipers and I’d shoot two perfect shots and either it wouldn’t register as a head shot or it just plain wouldn’t register. I don’t know what’s up but this game has been absolutely pathetic for the last couple months. Something is off for sure.
Yeah I noticed that when my Sniper bullet phased through someones head without even detecting a Kill, I thought someone spiked my drink when I witness this, but at least I’m not the only one.
