Hit detection or damage errors

I have experienced many issues with hit detection, particularly while using the rail gun. I have a quick game clip I plan to upload soon. Anyone else experience this?

well I haven’t gotten the clip yet, but will describe the event. Short and sweet version I shot a Spartan straight in the gut with a rail gun, the opponent had yet to recover their shields. In theatre mode the round is shown as hitting directly. However, the damage dealt to the opponent was zero. It seems during the shield recharge some glitch occurred and negated the damage. Without full shields in a narrow corridor even the splash damage from a round near them should have resulted in a kill. I understand their is some latency discrepancy…but how can we be expected to play when something like this occurs.

I have felt like the rail gun is the most inconsistent performing weapon in this regard. There are times where all hits seem to result in a kill and others where I can swear they took the shot directly and nothing happened. There has to be a damage glitch in there somewhere.
