I am finding that the hit detection in the MP games is terrible some could be clearly missing me and still get kill this is causing a lot of frustration on my part because I am losing to many fire fights because of it. It is making the MP portion of the game almost most unplayable which really saddens me because I am a big Halo fan. Am I the only one experiencing this or is it something to do with the hosts of the games I am getting into.
Likely lag related or the killcam is a bit off. Ive noticed it too
If your talking about Kill-Cams often showing the person who kills you missing by several feet then they aren’t. I killed my buddy in flood in Split-Screen and it was clearly a direct hit with the shotgun, but in the Kill-Cam I missed by miles.
Haven’t noticed this much, aside from a custom game we played earlier. Hmm
Whatever it is I hope they fix it soon it sucks dying for no good reason such as your not the host. Also I have noticed kill cams to but I figured they were broken (There is no way I could be that off right?)

Kill cams are broken, don’t bother watching them.
And the hit detection is fine, the games host selection is worse than Halo Reach (which was extremely bad) and that’s why shots don’t register well.
Then they need to fix there host selection prosess so people aren’t getting into such unplayable matches.
I’ve noticed some really bad collision detection in both campaign and multiplayer for another thing…
I was actually saying to a friend earlier today how well I thought the game was detecting my shots. It felt like I was playing LAN.
Really well that’s odd.
Hit detection for me is also incredible. Better than Gears 3 and that had dedicated servers.
I’m impressed.
As for kill cams, never really watch em so I can’t say.
This game has some of the best hit detection we have ever seen in a Halo game. The kill cam is not an accurate thing to judge by.
i was going to make a thread about it, it reminds me very much of call of duty where i enter and exit games until i find a lobby that works…this is really not halo, there are games where i literally cannot get a kill for love nor money, and then all of a sudden i 5 shot like a pro…
i think its because they wanted people to have fast matchmade games, and to do this you need to put people in terrible lag, it also helps make kids think there good murdering randoms while they are on host…it makes me curious as to why they removed the ping bar, maybe to cover up the fact everyone is red barring it in halo 4…
I turly believe that my unfortunate hit detection is because of lag but I rather wait a few moments to good in a good game then get into one that I don’t have fighting chance quickly. Is there a way to change the MM shreach settings like in halo reach that I have completely over looked?
it’s the crappy hit detection! or lag or something! don’t blame it on the kill cams. I can shoot a guy 6 times in the head and he won’t drop. but he’ll supposedly shoot me twice and kill me. and on the kill cam he shot all over the damn place. this multiplayer is -Yoink!-. unless you’re host. just admit it.
its not the hit detection and im surprise that no one is bring this up in the S$^% storm but in this game unlike the other halo titles is not rewarding players on accuracy. in fact with the dmr or the br it takes 4 shots anywhere in the body to kill shields and just make sure the next shot is a head shot. this why the game feels so fast pace for a halo title
