Hijacking

This just now crossed my mind. well in the first Halo you could not hijack vehicles. but does that also mean it will not be in anniversary. becaus I would think if you switched back to classic mode it wouldn’t do it but if you were in the new mode than you could?

No, gameplay is exactly the same in anniversary mode.

Nope sorry. If you can’t do it in the original, you can’t do it on Anniversary.

That basically sums it up. 343 has stated many times over that the gameplay will be identical in every way since it runs on the exact same engine. The only tweaks that were added were features in Ann. like terminals, skulls and sounds

Why would you board a legendary wraith when you can maneuvre up to it and blast it to death with a shotgun?

The latter is clearly a more elegant solution.

Rule of thumb for Halo CEA questions:
*If it has to do with the game play, and no graphics or sound, it’s the same as Halo CE, period.
*If it has to do with game graphics or sound, and it’s in Classic mode, good chance that it’s going to be the same as in Halo CE.
*if it doesn’t have to do with any rule said above, ask or watch through the 343i videos on Halo CEA.
*If you want a demo for Halo CEA, take your hand, and slam a door on your hand, and go find a copy of Halo CE, there’s you demo.
*If you want Halo CEA MP that isn’t in reach, too bad, if you really want one, go buy a copy of Halo CE for the PC, there’s your MP.

Find more bad*** ways to kill vehicles. For instance tank beats everything, wraiths don’t fire if you get close enough. Don’t try hopping a ghost, they float really high in CE, I never tried to duck but lemme know how that goes. And anyway the only fun covie vehicle to use is the Banshee since the Ghost will not splatter anything if you drive it.

That’s not a very good rule of thumb.

-Graphics use HPC assets in classic mode, not original ones.
-Music can be toggled from the menu and your choice will apply to both modes during the game. The rest of the sound will all always be the Anniversary audio.

You can splatter stuff with a ghost. It’s just not that terrific of a vehicle for it.

Not at all. Look at the Jackal shields, what colour are they? Orange and blue, depending on rank, yes. What colour were they in Halo PC? Green, and they didn’t change colour while getting shot at. Just by looking at that, you can tell that it uses the original Halo Xbox assets. You can also tell by looking at the stationary shields, which were different in PC than on Xbox.

Ah, right, they changed it. Early Anniversary videos (and even some recent ones) very cleary had the yellow middle/blue outside jackal shields. They must have swapped them out.

Hopefully they did the same with most other assets; some recent videos still had those HPC energy fields in the forkships.

why hijaack when you can fire at it uselessly and get killed ( Just look at the 2000 E3 demo for CE it is very different in some places!)im talking about the wriath
