I’ve also noticed the hijack box is larger than previous games.
I know what youre saying OP. Way too many times in this game, I am like, “what just happened there?”
In every halo game, with the exception of early halo2 online, you knew where and who was your killer.
I will go back and watch films and still not know how or who killed me. Broken game is broken.

For me, this happens when I’m trying to splatter with the Banshee.
I’ll fly down low, boost, and fly back up but somehow someone rockets from the ground up to my Banshee that’s now at least 30 feet away.
