The situation : There a nastly little red in a banshee ultra attacking you and your peeps, so you get out the plasma pistol, wait for him to fly towards you and you get him, emp that bugger out of the sky and what does he do, land on his back. You run up to try and hijack but you can do nothing, you can emp all you want but hes staying that way. Let him off for a second and he boosts away, not to return and your plasma pistol is probably on 0% anyways.
Basically why cant we highjack an upside down banshee, if its a case of animation then just make the Spartan jump on and simultaneously flip the damn thing. It’s annoying as heck.
I did not know this. Will try to land upside down.
Great goodness…
What on halo is that profile picture you have? Lol

I’m not saying it was aliens…
But it was aliens…
Lol yea it’s pretty groovy.
It is very odd how someone can’t hijack an upside-down banshee. It’s something that has been around since the days of Halo 2 also, and hasn’t been fixed yet (guessing because not many people have raised their voices about it).
Yes this is a bug I’ve noticed since launch. I’ve always thought of it as another one of 343s ways of “improving” halo.
I’m glad that they cant be boarded when they are upside down, because of how long range plasma pistols are, and how well they can track moving targets. vehicles are easily boarded and destroyed as it is.
I don’t think it’s a “bug.” I think it was designed this way. Personally I like it. I think it’s funny when someone EMP’s my ultra and I land upside down and he can’t do anything. I usually spam the flip button and get a free splatter once the EMP wears off too if he is close enough. I had a game the other day where a guy hit me with an EMP, I fell upside down, he kept EMPing me over and over and I was just sitting there. By this time 4 other guys had gathered around trying to jack my banshee. I guess he ran out of EMP because he quit hitting it. I immediately flipped out of it and got an overkill splatter from everyone that gathered around. HILARIOUS! HA!!

Tell me how this is balanced in any other way than, yay I get to keep my vehicle.
It isn’t, and yes whilst we would all love to go on an unlimited rampage in a banshee, a plasma pistol is designed to do one thing, and to get the banshee to land next the person anyways for them to hijack is enough to let them board, they should have to be punished because the person in the banshee was lucky enough to land on their back.
Its a totally redundant thing that ads unnecessary randomness that favours one player and is a blemish on a game that is otherwise fairly balanced (in its core mechanics, warzone will never be )

I see your point, but it’s luck when you land upside down and it doesn’t always happen. The reason I support it is because it is WAY to easy to EMP a vehicle as it is. The range and tracking ability on plasma pistols is unreal. It’s nice to have a little bit of luck go your way every now and then when you get brought down.
Besides, all you need is two people working together to take them out. This is how we deal with them. I will EMP it and have a team mate laser it or rail gun it when it lands. Again, it’s all about working with a team. Warzone was never meant for randoms running about trying to lone wolf it.

Gonna have to agree with Archer here, I hate the PP. If there is any way for me to keep my vehicle after being hit with it, I’m all for it. Now if only I could figure out how to flip my tank to avoid this problem as well…

If I wanted to destroy the banshee I would just use a splaser from the get go. Yes maybe the plasma pistol should be slightly less effective, but that doesn’t get rid of the fact its shoddy game design. “Luck going your way” should be a good grenade bounce or a sick no scope, not being totally countered but escaping due to inconsistent boarding mechanics.

This would result in a splatter. I’ve had more than a few instances where I was being boarded, and my vehicle flipped and whoever was on top was splattered by me.
While you’re at it get rid of the insane sliding EMP’d Banshees have. I didn’t know WZ maps were made up of banana peels
If you can’t hijack it destroy it. Your team members should have concentrated on shooting that banshee down. 1 banshee vs a whole team shooting at it makes it look weak.

But we’re talking about the Banshee here specifically, how can you talk about balancing when other vehicles don’t get this unfair advanatage where unlike the Banshee they land upright when EMP’ed. By your logic other vehicles should have this ‘little bit of luck’ every now and then.
Hmm, never knew we had that problem with banshees after they’ve been EMPed.
