This map needs a serius rework in my opinion and it should not even be a 1v1 map at all. The teleporters all lead to a high ground position on top of your expansions meaning all you have to do is warp in with a locusts reaver ball to keep your opponents on 1 base. If you decide not to play the map in this way then it becomes a massive shield stacking war that can last for hours. Don’t even attempt to play UNSC vs Banished on this map because they will just shield stack against you and then counter attack immediately after. The shear size of the map forces you to abuse these teleporters which leads to a surprisingly linear playstyle revolving around these horribly place teleporters. On 3v3 I would actually say the map is fine. Due to the side bases that are added.
Couldn’t agree more, my man. I truly hate this map in 1’s. I played a Colony early today as Jerome, and it sucked, tremendously. It boiled down to, every time I attacked, the shields bought my opponent enough time to teleport his units accross to one of my expansions, while leaving a few units in the shield to delay my attack. I was put in this awkward spot where I had to force a base trade (which he would win because of the shields) or retreat and attempt to defend my base.
Highway is just such an awkward map to fight on. It’s the only map I truly hate to play, especially in 1v1. Team games I don’t really mind it, though.
This map needs to be removed from 1’s or at least cut in half.

I like the idea of cut in half better. Perhaps the spots that are currently the large minibases could become the mains? Although that could be too small… but it needs a fix.

Remove two corners and make the middle bases expos.
It should be smaller for 1 v 1, no doubt.
Ive always hated this map despite doing well historically on it.

Man I’ve been complaining about this map in 1vs1 for months. If they can add Sentinels to that other 1vs1 map, they can remove the two corners on Highway.
