First Example: Weather systems, there are none in the halo games where multiplayer maps are concerned. This would be of use, using wind to increase the speed of a ghost, or conceal someone in a blizzard.
Second Example: What if a level were shifting about. That would bring some life into level design, which is by all accounts, lacking. The maps in most cases are stale. What you see does not change and little of it is interactive. If a Forerunner map could potentially move on its own and by player command, the way it moves could allow for strategic placement or save a persons life. One would have to know the maps in and out. It could be very complex, like a puzzle, or an ever changing map.
Third Example: Have an underwater mutliplayer map (a base underwater) which could mess with physics. Have the buildings possess some sort of chamber that would sift the water out so then players could go from building to building. Capture the flag, under water?
I don’t care if a map has weather effects, but it cannot effect gameplay, for example: if a map has a blizzard and there is a foot of snow; you should not walk slower you should walk the same speed.

I disagree. I wouldn’t say it should always affect gameplay, but it would be interesting to see what the developers can come up with.
I don’t want too much of a complex map. I always relished the idea of static/heavy rain or snow, which would be a start. Dynamic weather is ok, long as it isn’t frustratingly annoying.
When it gets to the point that the map complexity slows down the gameplay or makes it random, that’s when it should stop. I don’t think I would enjoy playing if I had to constantly worry about what this map is going to do. I don’t want it to turn into me vs the map, if you get me. Just want to kill the enemy without going against a puzzle.

Remember throwing grenades in Snowbound? I think it’d be great if the dynamic maps altered gameplay in realistic and predictable ways.
^ I def agree with you. It can’t be random and distracting.
I’m always referring back to gears of war on here, but they released a forces of nature map pack which included a map where there is a recurring snow storm, and a map with a tornado and dust and debris that makes visibility really bad, and a map with a fog that rolls in every so often, it’s quite awesome.
However with Halo I don’t see it happening like that where debris and dust affects visibility, if they were to do it. I think the best way to go with Halo is just adding weather effects like rain, snow, wind.
Spartans are the ultimate soldiers, i’m sure they can cope with a little inclement weather.

I would like the game to have one or two puzzle maps.
The game could always use more map variety.
If people didn’t like this style of play, they could simply vote for another map.
I do agree that it would be very bad for the entire game to consist of puzzle maps though. Would just irritate people because they wouldn’t get to play ‘normal Halo’.
The second and third examples sound amazing. Not too fond of the first example though.
Now I’m just imagining a Forerunner themed map with shifting platforms and walkways like the Halo 4 campaign level where the Didact is manipulating the environment.
I wouldn’t mind versions of a map, day/night, rainy/clear day. No dynamic weather. Rather, I want semi predictable dynamic elements like in h2 terminal, or maps that can be affected and changed as part of the game. Opening up the gate on Zanzibar or the teleporter on relic… Good times. Sort of a precursor to invasion.
I think 343 should just focus on making maps that aren’t god awful, because they clearly haven’t gotten that down yet. Then maybe they can focus on weather, etc etc
I personally love this idea. Unfortunately, we don’t really have the technology with the Xbox One to have interactive dynamic weather maps. Moveable puzzle maps could definitely be a thing, it’s certainly possible. I’d also love it, every layer of skill added to the game makes it that much better.
