Does any one else agree that the version of master chief in forward unto dawn 4 kind of sucked? I mean master chief is supposed to be the most bad -Yoink- of all bad -Yoinks!- and this guy was rather lame. his voice sucked his tactics were noobish. i mean he just used an AR right out in the open. the kids at least had the common sense to hide. other than that though i do love the show especially when it finally showed the elite. that mother lover was dope

We’re just too used to Steven Downes probably. It’s the best episode thus far, in my opinion.

Hes 15 when this takes place so his voice would be a bit higher in pitch

Anyway, I think the Chief was great, especially when he just ripped the gun locker’s door out. This was the best episode, out we saw some real combat and not just exercises with paintball guns. Good job, just keep it up!

Plus real bad -Yoinks!- don’t need to hide unless absolutly necessary. The only thing I have a problem with telling the recruits to call him master chief, just the why he said it it sounded stupid.
20 years younger? The voice still belonged to that of a full grown man. If they weren’t going to use a teenage actor with a deep voice, they should have just stuck with Steve.
I agree they are doing a great job it felt just like master chief.
Chief’s entire role in this episode was to keep the marines alive. He stayed in the open to draw the fire away from the group, he could take the hits, they couldn’t.

A highly trained teenager enhanceh by advanced surgically implanted augmentations that gave a him the body of an olympic champion. Plus from what ive heard hes about 41 during halo 1 plus with age your voice can become deeper.
And some ordinary 15 year old voice just wouldn’t do.
I mean c’mon, it’s Master Chief!
Even though I’m weary about the whole Halo 4 fad, I have to say that what he did made sense. The marines die in most likely one shot. If they are all crouched (including the Chief) then they were going to get blasted to bits. Chief has giant armor and giant shields, and he has a group of marines to protect. he gets the AR and shoots it like a mad man, runs, and gets the distracted Convenant saying “SHOOT THAT GIANT GREEN THING WHO DOESN’T AFRAID OF ANYTHING!”.
This allows for the marines to escape, Lasky to get onto the Warthog, and them to dip the hell out of there. Same reason why Chief put his arm in the way of a needler needle and why he chose to be gunner. TO PROTECT.

Well MC is 15 during FUD, he is still noobish but he is badass.
His voice is great for what it needs to be. Younger, but not too young. He’d lose his effect if he was squeaking.
Noobish tactics? How so?
He ordered the best shooters on the side to protect the driver, a logical way of moving.
He, with his armor, took the fire and distracted the enemies while the more important Cadets got to the Warthog safely. Then he busted out the Magnum and killed them all. He was using the AR to draw their fire. Its louder and shoots more, logically going to get more attention.
And the Chief told the Cadets to get down. His armor, as he knew, could take the hits. He was trying to draw their fire, the Chief hiding wouldn’t do that. The big, armored guy taking tons of hits and firing an AR around will get their attention.
He did his job, distracted the Jackals and then wiped them out. His voice sounds younger without loosing effect.
