It appears that in addition to being completely devoid of any aim assist whatsoever, it’s also damn near impossible to get head shots in this game. Taking that into consideration, as well as the new abilities and confusing controls, this game has the highest learning curve and skill gap of any Halo game I have ever played.

This game feels like it has a lot more aim assist than previous Halo titles. Like Destiny-level excessive aim assist, it feels like it’s taking control away from the player

I haven’t noticed head shots being difficult to get at all, aside from behind your target but that’s always been a bit wonky, for me at least.

But people should take note that, just cause a game has a incredibly high skill gap, doesn’t make it the best, for example Halo 1 has the highest skill gap of all Halos, but yet most still prefer classic Halo 2.

Wouldn’t someone who is bad at Halo 3 think it’s even harder than it actually is? Someone who sucks at a game isn’t going to think it’s easy.

I believe the game has very low aim assist, but the character models have large hitboxes…so basically its a wash.
Agree with OP. Aim-assist is almost non-existent in the beta which makes head-shots a little harder to achieve. Really pleased with what I have played.

No way anyone with good logic and reasoning can say Halo 5 has the highest learning curve or widest skill gap. The game is pretty damn easy. Headshots are extremely easy.
-You don’t even have to have the reticle on the ehad to get a headshot with the sniper.
-You can spam the pistol at any range adn get an easy quick kill
-Currently we all start with overpowered automatic weapons which are the easiest ARS to use in halo history
-The pistol is BY FAR the easiest to use in halo history. They defintely have to fix this
-DMR is easier than Reachs
-It is easy as hell to run away from being killed with thruster adn sprint

Yeah…Halo 3 was defintely not the hardest. It was defintely one of the easier Halo games. Only thing that took some practice was long range BR battles. And I am better than you so don’t try to tell me I think Halo 3 is easy because I am a BK

Kill times are too fast in this game, three shots from the AR while your shield is down is too fast. It does not allow players to turn a situation around when they get shot first. Just make kill times slower and halo 5 could have some potential imo.
