Higher Penalty for Quitters + Other Suggestions

I have some suggestions for Halo: Reach multiplayer.

1: Higher penalty for quitters.
Everybody hates when a member of their team quits, right? It’s been happening a lot to me in the TU Beta, and in result, I lose. I suggest a higher penalty so they learn their lesson. EDIT: Possibly give the people of Halo an option to join in the middle of an ongoing match.

2: Red VISR.
I know this is in high demand already, and I highly suggest putting this in the game. As far as the price, maybe around 300,000 to 500,000 credits. Example: http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk309/sparky9171/playermodel.png

3: Get rid of fall damage.
Pretty much self-explainatory… I don’t know one person who likes fall damage.

4: One-Betrayal Booting.
Basically be able to boot somebody the first time they betray you… I don’t ENTIRELY supportly this, reason being there are a lot of accidental betrayals, but the purpose ones, yeah.

5: No-Bloom.
Besides the Sniper Rifle, I think bloom was a mistake. I know they are testing this currently, and hopefully it gets put in the rest of multiplayer.

6: Bleedthrough Damage.
I think bleedthrough would make gameplay more intense, and more fun.

7: More Armor.
I’m not sure if this is possible, but I think the game needs more armor. I’m not complaining about the current amount, more about the looks.

These our my suggestions for Multiplayer, please give me your opinion, and remember: Critism is welcome, not suggested.

sure and high credit jackpots or more credits for those who stay, last night ive seen 80% quit on me at the very beginning and im not joking…

ive just finished 1vs5 game :frowning: the rest of my team just left at start…

343 realy needs to fix this! i finish all my games

i agree there should be a stronger penalty for quittters, i also think that 343 should make a few new playlists for when CEA comes out, maybe something like search and destroy off call of duty , this would be amazing if it was brought to halo

5000 cR penalty for quitting and then have that 5000 split up amongst the winning team.

The quit ban is not a good enough of a deterrent.

5k credit pentaly is good imo.

but banning is stupid,

if you quit 3 games in 1 day over 30 games you get banned, if you quit again within 24 hours of your last quit your banned again. that is soooooooooooo stupid

thats actualy a good idea and especialy if it came out of their pockets

Really? Let’s make Reach even more undesireable by taking the only thing to play the game for away if you quit a game? So what happens when it’s 5v1? I’m supposed to stay and die another 40+ times? Really? And what if you play with a guest? Where does that magic 5k come from? Why should you benefit from another team losing players anymore than a ‘win’? Give the 5k to team members who lose the member and stay not to the other team.

This concept becomes even more unbearable when Betrayal booting counts as a quit to the system. The number of ways teammates ‘betray’ is absurd and to lose credits ontop of being booted? Wow. Thankfully you don’t make the game.

Good suggestions, OP.

As far as I know, quit penalty is almost non-existant in Reach. It needs to be much harsher simply because when one guy quits he potentially ruins the whole game for his entire team.

Fall damage is annoying and silly. First of all the mjolnir suit is designed to absorb it and secondly it feels more like an obstacle than anything. I mean, sometimes when I play Battlefield I feel more like a super soldier.

This game was designed for usage of bloom. I have no idea how 343 could work around that. Some say strafing and movement speed should be increased in the even where bloom is removed/reduced.

lol Credits. If a match is really lame or dumb map/gametype is chosen I won’t stay. Take my rank and credits away, I don’t care. I don’t buy armor and rank in reach is pointless anyways. And the time limit wouldn’t stop me, I’d just get on my other accounts lol.

I suggest a credit ban for at least 10 quits that lasts for 10-15 full games.

useualy the team 5 som1 quits too or 5vs1 aint that fun either eh… its 12min lost of great gaming time. the leavers shoud pay^

and the guest acc shoudnt be even mentioned for credit pay up. it makes no sense…

How about if you deliberately quit you can’t start a new game for 1/2 hour? Obviously, if you were forced to quit you had something else to do and the time penalty won’t be a problem. If you quit for any other reason, you might think twice about quitting in the future. The Banhammer can then take care of any AFKers.

What? Is that supposed to be a sentence? That doesn’t even make sense. Read what I said then read what you said and try to speak English…with words please.

And yes the guest should be looked at because unless you’re only looking at non-guest playlists being credit taxed. How does your tax make sense if my team of 6 people, 1 player and 3 guests quit and I’m left with one teammate who will probably quit too. So the other team gets 10k credits? (the two actual players) Or do they get 25k credits for the 5 total players that I lost? And I have to deal with a full invasion game by myself beause I can’t quit or I lose credits too? This entire plan is flawed in it’s core.

I hate people who rage-quit cuz they don’t like the map so they exit to dashboard, turn of their 360, or go to waypoint…

maybe server choices due maps/gametype woud be sweet for xbox live. and let player keep connecting

I think if they quit, the just lose credits but instead of the credits going to the winning team, they should get split up among the people who lost a teamate. To the people who said they quit because they don’t like the map or gametype, then that’s just selfish.

Rather than penalizing quitters, why not just give players the option to join games in-progress?

> Rather than penalizing quitters, why not just give players the option to join games in-progress?

Personally, I don’t like joining games in progress.

> Rather than penalizing quitters, why not just give players the option to join games in-progress?

That was suggested during Beta. I mean, I’ve seen every other game do that, even Bioshock 2, and they’re just using the very rough mechanics of an online shooter game. I don’t think it was added in because Bungie was being hipsters about it.

What happens when the person that quits doesn’t have 5000 cR? Do they go into debt or what?
