That would be an issue with your connection, not the server itself
I feel you! Playing the Flight was boarder line rubbish for me. Routinely obviously stuck me on US servers with about 80ms. Living in the EU playing against US players made it no fun at all. Halo 5 was the exact same and feels like 343 is still one of the only companies that care very little about anything but ‘merica’
It was a technical preview, so I suggest you wait and see if it gets better in the full release.

Try being in Australia and constantly getting put on west US servers…143MS ping at the best of times
MCC is unplayable
Reading these posts I feel like we can make a support group for non-US players: “Hello, I’m Candyman and I like to play Halo from EU.”

With a good enough population server access won’t be an issue. The situation currently in H5 and MCC are not representative of Infinite at release, and definitely not during a flight.
