Why does almost everything in this game have high magnetism? Grenades, weapons, spartan charge, melee. No matter if you move or use thruster pack it’ll follow you. Behind a wall, get killed. Oh yeah, it happens.
Getting shot while moving behind cover has little to do with magnetism. Getting shot through a wall like that is usually latency.
In any case, I believe Halo 5 has the least amount of aim assist and bullet magnetism of the series.
They have been tweaking it a bit like you can see here. Be aware that this was back in 2015 so it might’ve been tweaked a bit further.
H5 definitely has high amounts of magnetism, probably to compensate with how fast players move with the abilities. I realized how apparent this was when I played the H3 playlist which has no abilities. It’s so easy to hit your shots that it’s almost laughable. Perfect after perfect after perfect.

I read somewhere I forget where, But they I think specifically Bonnie whats her name said they increased magnetism to offset the aiming problem that had. I have not played the game in months, Nor have I read anything about Halo in months (except for what just came out about MCC), so It may have been adjusted. I know they did some stuff to make aim better months if not over a year ago. But I think I read that there is still at least the root underlying programming is still there, that could only be fixed by completely redoing the aim which won’t happen but I think will be completely redone with Halo 6. Again I read all of this months if not over a year ago. There is a reason why the aim in H5 even now feels very different to most every shooter on the market and not in a good way. I’m sure the people that are still playing have no issue and will say everything is perfect.
The main thing I notice high magnetism with is the spartan charge. That thing always hits once it locks on no matter how you thruster away.
