Ske7ch just confirmed that the ‘high level update’ everyone’s been dying to get more information about will indeed be dropped before the end of 2020! I’m genuinely excited to see what they’re going to show us now that we know it’s going to be sometime this month.
I’d suggest not build too much hype just yet since we don’t know what the tweet meant since it could mean anything about Infinite. Plus there cutting it pretty close to the holidays so doubt it’ll be much. I’ll admit I’m curious but some people tend to let their imagination go wild then jump to conclusions. I suspect news will probably drop around the 8th/15th.
Like others here have said, I believe it is important to temper expectations.
This will more than likely be a status update on Halo Infinite. Where they’re at in development. Their plans for the games launch etc.
I doubt we’ll get a release date or any trailers soon. I see this as an extended community blog focused on Infinite as its topic.
A “High Level Update” doesn’t mean what you think it does.
Think of it like if you were in the sky and looking down, you’d not see any detail of the ground below you, that’s typically what it refers to.
This “Update” will be like that, so expect vague statements, repeated information rephrased to sound new, and some various buzzwords.
At most a “release window” could be thrown in, but don’t set your expectations high.
Remember that they made an entire news update recently saying:
> Over the past few months, and because of the delay, you’ve learned a lot about Halo Infinite from our various retail and partner programs. We see that you, our community, have so many questions and are hungry for more information. We know. We hear you. We understand.
Then proceeded to have that entire “announcement” dedicated to advertising and marketing partners.
All I’m saying is that I’m excited to see what they’ve got in store for us—regardless of how big or small it is! I think y’all are looking a bit too far into my post.
