I just want people to know that I now have a youtube channel and will be posting frequent high level videos with commentary. I currently have one video up but the commentary is off because I was having difficulties with the video editing program. Hopefully by watching you can learn a few things that will improve your game to a higher level.

Honestly I think its because he can’t play Offense to Offensive with my brute. I usually take out his base/get my brutes through more efficiently than he can so he gave up and started to develop a strategy that counters mine because I play so aggressive at the beginning of matches. The only problem is I detected the early defense and didn’t put anything into a rush.

Is there any possible way to stop that kind of rush you did? I play against brutes all the time but since I constantly switch accounts I can never get my TS above 35. I never really get the super high level of play because of it.

The idea is to spawn camp or hit him first. If he gets to your base before you are at his and aims main on you like that (which works best on a good Brute since they know defense is a bad idea), the best thing to do is hurt his UNSC. Most HL UNSC players will lose their bases when they get rushed really early on hook maps by a good Brute with the help of his UNSC (excluding Memorial). This way, the Brute that’s overspending his rush won’t be able to compete with your untouched UNSC.
I usually never expect to save my base against someone like Limitz if I never intend to rush him in the first place. When I do rush him, it means that I’m sure I’ll come out on top or am bound by the map/combo and am forced to rush him regardless. If you can’t win a rush, take out his backbone, his UNSC, so that the only untouched player is your UNSC; never play defense as the Brute. Covi vs. UNSC won’t work out well for their Brute if your UNSC has been free the entire game. Keep in mind that a Brute damages himself with his own rush and that damage increases the earlier he rushes, so it’s best to take advantage of that.
It depends on the situation, theres always a strategy to counter another.

Actually everybody likes the videos I have been uploading. The only reason I posted the booyah game was the unorthodox strategy that booyah ran, I thought that was pretty clear-cut why it was posted. But yeah, unfortunately I am going to have to post a bad non-high level video soon, should I title it AoWBegs4Mercy?

LoL it just crushes you that nobody thinks you’re good. In all honesty, you don’t even crack the top 5 brutes in 2v2.

There was a 2 star, black-bar Brute in my hooks and I took him out to collect the resources. Kihz happened to show up right when I did this and killed him so fast, he never noticed. Why not, at the very least, try to resemble a little bit of a decent understanding of Halo Wars and look at what actually happened that game.
Legit and I never planned on saving my base and figured that Limitz would rush me instead of him. We wanted them to do that and were very happy to see him run around the long way too. I’d like to remind you that I was in Kihz’s hook and at his base before Limitz was off of his side of the map. The only part that went wrong for us that game was not killing Kihz’s base. We were not backed into any corners and we were not thrown any curve balls because everything they did was what we thought they would do. In fact, besides a couple of speed issues we made (and the bad call about not sending Tanks to Kihz earlier), everything was going more than smoothly for us; we were about to kill Kihz’s main and they were slow and spending a ridiculous amount of money when we weren’t spending any. That game was very close to being completely different and it’s a wonder you can’t see through that veil of mediocrity, nomercy.
