After today update, suddenly everything on arena and warzone become high latency…
Dude, I’m getting the same thing. What does Halo define as being ‘high latency’?
My ping via the Xbox network settings detailed section is 149ms. I know that’s not great, but I’m pretty sure that pings to a location in Seattle. So, that being said, I don’t understand why it would be high. I’m on 1000M/B fiber connection and have never seen this before.
Anyone else getting this?
I’m feeling like for me everything in the game is a little slower. Perfect example is 2 Spartans running straight at each other shooting assault rifles then melee but one dies and the other doesn’t.
Grifball has been extremely difficult for this reason.
I just made a post asking if time to kill was increased. I was saying that all my timing is off. Pretty much whenever I think they are one shot but they aren’t. A couple body shots then a heads hot and a punch…they should be one shot but they arent. So I keep telling myself to keep firing until you’re sure they are dead. Then the crazy thing was that after I said keep firing it still took a lot to kill them?? I also noted my accuracy hasn’t gone down nor have my head shot kills so it’s either lag or ttk went up
Ive been having problems just logging into halo since the lastest update. says server not available. takes like 10 resets for to fix
Hmmm, that is strange…
I’ve only played BTB today and despite the caution on the search page, didn’t notice a huge difference. I’m just wondering why it now says it? My connection hasn’t changed, all my ping tests are same as before, so must be something on the 343 server end of things. Maybe they just changed the definition of ‘high latency’.
I wish I could select a server to connect with. I’ve got no idea where I’m connecting to, and I don’t like the ‘system’ sorting it out for me. God only knows what it’s doing then…
Same problem here

Ping is the time it takes to get from your console to the server your on…Latency is the time to get to the server and then back to your console or PC. You should be around 50ms, give or take a few. I’m surprised the server didn’t warp you out of the game at that high of latency. I go to settings/network/details to check before I start playing because I’ve been warped out of few games for being to high or low. When you shoot at a player and can’t kill him is because he’s actually not where your seeing him in the game. He’s probably few feet ahead of where you see him. Your shooting at an empty space.
