So I know you can hide skins in Halo 3 but is there a way to hide all the hideous new armor? Just seems like if you’re going to give people an option to not see the skins it’d make sense to give them an option to hide the armor as well since it’s just as bad…
We already have that. The toggle disables all new cosmetics. It’s all or nothing.
…so where might I find that? I disabled skins but still see all the new armor.

SETTINGS>GAMEPLAY> THEN TURN OFF NEW SKINS.FROM LIST.
DONE
Side note: I had to turn my new skins off because I was getting fatal errors. ( game crashing )

If you’re talking about Reach, there isn’t one.
But the toggle disables everything new for 3.

Weird, it showed me having already disabled those so I toggled them on then off again and now I’m not seeing the new armor anymore. Seconds times the charm I guess, thanks.

What do you mean, there is one for Reach.

So that’s why I still see these hideous helmets in Halo Reach even though I have the new customization switched off. Lame.

There is a toggle for Reach in the settings.

Can you point me to where? Because all I have found is enable/disable new customization in the gameplay section of the settings.

What customisation do you think you are disabling in Reach, if not the helmets?

I believe that’s the one but unfortunately it also disables AKIS & Mariner what I’ve been hearing

Reread what I originally said.

That’s fine because I don’t use them anyway, however I’ve got it set to disabled yet I still see these new mythical helmets.

Try enabling then disabling again, like the OP did. If it doesn’t work than I guess file a bug report.

Thanks for the help. I’ve tried it a few times and no luck. I guess I’m going to have to submit one.

yeah, I still dunno if it’s bugged or they made a mistake thinking they were new because they were unreleased DLC from Legacy (kinda leaning towards bugged given how I’ve been seeing people say they’re the only ones turned off by the toggle)
the more I’m looking into Reach, the more I’m learning the game is really really broken/unfinished under the hood
