Title for Reference. At the beginning of the game, I was being match with noobs, but now I’m getting matched against players who are near my skill level. I’m glad it works, but didn’t expect it to work as well as it does.
i,d be lying if i said i wasn’t thinkin the same thing, do you really think 343 would take the time to work that in though?
Concept of Slayer, kill enemy stay alive. Random teammates don’t understand.
Concept of Oddball, get ball and keep it. Random teammates don’t understand.
Concept of KoH, get in hill and stay in hill. Random teammates don’t understand.
Concept of Dominion, capture points and keep them. Random teammates don’t understand.
Concept of CTF, retrieve enemy flag and protect your own. Random teammates don’t understand.
No skill matchmaking system is in place.

Did that just start? I’d been playing off and on since release and most of the time I’m against players well above my meager abilities.
I don’t see why they don’t just take your K/D ratio (after a good amount of games)
It’s already the most obvious and best way to see your individual skill.
Yeah I’m also getting pretty good games now. Shure sometimes people aren’t good or playing serious but for the most part it seems to work very good and after Reach it’s nothing I expected
Good job 343 and I can’t wait for the CSR system!
i think its working well
Hey OP there is no skill matching in this game, or playlists. You’re paired with every other player.
There is no skill playlist or rank system implemented (yet, maybe, probably not ever).

There is a skill matching in this game, and there will be a rank system implemented.
Sit down.
@OP, yes. Same. At first, I had a 3.5 k/d and was a wrecking ball, getting like, 30 kills and under 10-5 deaths.
Now, it’s just much more challenging. When I go positive, it’s usually 1.2-2 k/ds. My overall k/d has dropped down to a 1.7.
I noticed gameplay has gotten increasingly harder online. This trueskill thing works pretty well but it makes it harder to win as often sometimes.

I don’t know. Sometimes I destroy my opponents, sometimes I get destroyed. I’m not seeing nearly as much of a healthy medium as I should. Maybe it’s me.
There is a trueskill matchmaking system currently being used. At the moment they haven’t made it visible yet because the wanted time to get it working well before they started letting the players see their numbers. Believe me its there. after the first 3 games i played i had a K/D of 10 but all of a sudden i was playing with people that could actually aim. How that made a difference.
I get the feeling trueskill only works for the opposing team most of the time though
It’s definitely working pretty good. My first match I went 24 and 2 or something, but by my 20th I was getting smoked. Now I always play hard games. I played a few rounds on my girlfriend’s account to get her loadouts for Spartan Ops and went 31 and 3 or so. All that leads me to believe it works quite well.

Thanks for the info.

You sit down, and shut up. Dumb kid, acting like he’s smarter lol, cute.

Quoting myself from another thread.
> I think you get matched up with people with the same “skill level”.I doubt it’s a coincidence I went 36-3 with a 20 killing streak in the first match I play with a player who has a low K/D and rank in my group.

What are you, 12? Seriously. The ole “1v1 me” threat is a classic giveaway.
