The Rig
Is one of the very few maps that I would consider a Forge Canvas until now. It seem it, and another map can be used to Forge outside of the boundaries which would make great for some maps.
Other than this, Im sure you guys would find this map to be something good to forge on right?
Fathom also lets you forge outside of the map in the water, but the limited lighting and glitchy graphics outside of the map make it a bit difficult to look nice. The space canvas can look a lot like a desert canvas with the right settings applied, and as for underwater effects the same can be done on the same space canvas map.

Yea I got a video in the making to help others into making the sand canvas look rather than going to another map but with the Rig the sky box and background can make it look better than what Parallax could offer.
I noticed Overgrowth lets you forge way high up into the buildings, but it looks bad.
I had no idea the Rig let you Forge outside of it.
I tried on Fathom, but couldn’t find a way out of the map.

there is a way through the ceiling but like Carnage said the lighting and glitchy graphics make it hard to forge in but that doesnt mean it is impossible

I’ve figured out how to make a Reach looking map. Alpine, Overcast skybox, green process, and Walnut distance fog tuned to where the horizon is tinted orange. Keep the default near-fog that comes with Overcast.
I’m also working on my own remix of Guillotine where the city is destroyed. Sunset with heavy orange distance fog, bright orange “star dust” near fog to emulate embers. Looks really eerie. There’s smoke and fire and war background noises too. Really tried to capture the feel of Metropolis from Halo 2’s campaign. The map’s also got destroyed stuff everywhere like downed cranes, overturned cars, etc. Idk, I’m just really digging the aesthetic freedom that this “Forge 3.0” has given us and its overshadowing my desire to actually make a map for gameplay, lol.

Ive never tried to Forge out of Overgrowth but I will have to take a look at it sometime whenever I get the chance.
