The title of this post pretty much explains it all! I’m just getting into Halo, and I want to know if it’s possible for me to unlock all the armors and weapons in Halo 5 before Halo Infinite comes out later this year. I can’t imagine I’m going to make it to the game’s top rank that quickly, but I’d still like to have all the cool stuff just in case if I want to go back and keep playing it. Any idea if I can do it? If so, feel free to let me know what strategies you think would work best!

A lot of the stuff is earned through REQ packs to be honest. Since there’s no level restrictions on packs you could just buy it all outright and you’d have most of the unlocks.
There are some tied to levels, commendations and seasonal ranks. They’re probably the harder ones to get now.
Honestly with Infinite going free to play I don’t think many people will be playing Halo 5 after.
A few emblems are now unobtainable. You would get them by playing the halo 5 beta a long time ago. I dont have them either.
Whatever can be unlocked through REQ packs will take about 15-20 days of playtime, give or take.
Play heroic warzone FF, use REQ point boosts every game. Keep buying silver packs until you stop getting unlocks, then move to gold packs.
All armors are obtainable through RP and some skins for guns through real money. The are some other rewards that arents obtainable like seasonal emblems or special skins for guns. Although it will take you a time the fastest way to unlock all thing that it can be unlocked for free and are available, is buying bronze packs to unlock all commons objects, then silver packs to unlock all uncommon and rare objects and finally gold ones to unlock all rare and legendary objects.
This is because if you don’t have all common objects, there is a possibility that if you buy a gold pack you unlock a common object instead of a rare or legendary one.
Sorry if my English is not the best.
At this time, you can unlock most of the items in Halo 5 with few exceptions. The exceptions do mainly include some weapon skins and enblems introduced as a part of an event (2015 and 2016 seasons, multplayer beta, halo championship events ect.). In addition to that, the following armor pieces and helmets are unobtainable.
-
Athlon Champion (Helmet + Armor) - Challenger (Helmet + Armor)In addition to that, the following Helmet may be obtainable but it requires you to get one of your Forge maps to matchmaking.

There’s a couple armors and a few emblems and weapon skins that are no longer obtainable unfortunately.
Probably. Just grind bronze reqs until u have a every common, silver packs until you get req points, and then gold packs.

not all armor is obtainable.some you need to be part of a pro team and there are seasonal unlocks
I think that unfortunately you won’t be able to unlock everything before the release of infinite because there are very hard to unlock armors like the Achilles and there were limited armors and weapon skin in packs.
No
Hate the loot boxes!

Unfortunately some stuff is locked behind walls that you either have to know how to unlock, or they’re just impossible to unlock. Some HCS team specific REQ packs are either non-existent anymore, or you’ll have to know how to find them (and pay cash for them). The Achilles armor and helmet are locked behind company commendations (and good luck finding a company who’s close to the armor, and then the helmet). But by and large, I would say most of unlockables in H5 you can still get.

Oh dang, for some reason I thought that the Challenger set was awarded through reaching Champion rank in a playlist, didnt know it was actually just another Req incentive you had to drop money on.
Oh well, I guess not everyone needs everything but I think its kind of a shame that there are so many permanently unobtainable sets, especially in the case of the many emblems which show up in your in game collection, forever missing 6 out of 300 is so infuriating lol.

The Challenger armor set is a special armor set for the 2016 Halo World Championship and was given out to everyone who watched the event livestream.
In addition to that, there do also exist a large collection of Emblems and Weapon Skins which are either extremely difficult to obtain or unobtainable. Some are considered as hidden while other are displayed in the req collection.

Oh yea I remember that! Funnily enough I am pretty sure I watched that event livestream, I probably didn’t do it on my xbox though or through my account as I never got the set. Maybe I just watched a recording as well, honestly its been a long 5 years but I vaguely recall when that was going down and watching it.
The seasonal emblems appearing in the regular req collection is the only part that really bugs me, only because I am such a completionist so seeing my collection stuck at 99% just breaks my heart every time.
Probably yes, but Achilles’ armor and helmet is only unlocked within a Spartan company
There are several things you can’t get, some related to the beta, others that came out for certain seasons and some skins or emblems due to country restrictions (if you live outside the USA like me).
