DID YOU NOT NOTICE THERE IS NO SPEED ACCELERATION IN CEA’S GAMETYPE ON HANGEM?!?!?!?! SERIOUSLY??!? AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED THIS?!?!?!?!
I will watch again to see.
If you are trolling me i will be upset.

Not trolling
Best example is 1:54 - 2:06
Perhaps, but i’m not convinced.
Go to 2:20 and watch as he strafes off to the right. No acceleration at all.

will look again im just tired atm
It looks like they did. around 4:15 is a good example unless our eyes are playing tricks on us. If its true then. This will be beast but the jumps. Need adjusting
Movement is def faster(obviously) but it is still hard to tell if strafe acceleration is gone. Need to play it XD
With Reach’s auto aim strafing is pointless anyway. Just do it like a knewbie: DONT MOVE when you shoot xD
it looks normal, just faster movement speed but the acceleration is still there.
There’s a slight movement speed boost from what I can tell, but I doubt this is the final gametype. 343i will be likely tweaking settings between now and CE:A’s release, so I wouldn’t be too worried. If you guys want more of a movement/strafing acceleration, leave it in a Feedback thread, it’ll get looked at.
Just rewatched it its hard to tell. Im usually not a pessimist but im betting this is just going to be regular reach settings with 120 movement, 100 jump, 150 gravity, and an OP mag without a capped ROF and bloom (the guy playing is pacing really hard, you can hear people spamming in the back ground).

or just crouch and walk sideways. Can’t tell you how many people have tried that one on me and I ended up beating them anyway.
I know, I know, “crouching helps with accuracy when used with a bloom gametype”. But so does pacing your shots, and I’m fairly certain that the idiot crouching and spamming is going to lose to the guy pacing his shots…who will undoubtedly then get blown up by a frag grenade, or assassinated by the sword n00b who was using sprint/active camo.
sigh.

If you notice the gravity is much higher, which has already been confirmed to increase player traction and the crispness of strafing. This makes it appear that movement acceleration is gone even though its still there.

you need to play it to notice that, but it looks like the same speed…

Strafing is ineffective due to hitscan and the low acceleration.
If the strafe acceleration is buffed, strafing will improve.

It’s actually not hit scan; there IS a projectile, it’s just really fast (like the spartan laser). And H2 was hitscan yet strafing was effective; it’s the bullet mag, aim assist, max movement speed, AND acceleration that are the problem.
Pharm and I tested it today. We tried the Classic settings.
The video has more fluid movement, as we can visually see it. Go ahead and try 120* speed and 200 Gravity. You can clearly tell its not the same.

Incorrect. Reach is definitley hitscan for majority of weapons.

What your hearing is probably actually more than one magnum going off.
The way the Bloom works is that it ONLY applies to players who are holding the trigger to fire again automatically, Needle Rifle style. If you “feather” the trigger, you will be able to use the EXACT same fire rate as the automatic FR, but the bloom will NOT affect the accuracy of your shot.
This is how they are emulating the CE Magnum’s “Hold trigger, less accurate, same rof. Tap trigger, more accurate, same rof” mechanics.
As per the acceleration, I hope they didn’t remove it, strafe acceleration was actually more extreme in CE than it is in Reach. It almost felt like you were sliding around in off-host Firefight/Coop campaign.
