Digital is often 10-25% so If you divide by .75 you get 2 million copies sold.

Did any other FPS Franchises even exist before Halo. Did Halo ever have competition?

Other FPS released in 2007 directly competing with Halo3:

THE -Yoink-. IDC STILL LOVE IT BEST MP. BUT SUMMIN IS WRONG

Not bad at all considering its an exclusive in an a genre with so many different options yearly

Well at least the game is really popular in terms of Streaming. And I’m sure there is a lot of people playing.

  • 31k people viewing Fallout4 on Twitch. - 24k people viewing BO3 on Twitch. - 10k people viewing Star Wars Battlefront on Twitch. - 3.4k people viewing Destiny on Twitch. - 556 people viewing Halo5 on Twitch.

yeah these numbers dont seem right man, without 343i realeasing the infor the numbers will never be near accurate. The game is defiantly more popular than ODST and would have sold at least twice the numbers that MCC did in the first week (due to xbone being new and it being a remake). plus number dont matter anymore, profit does and 343i has already stated that halo 5 has had the largest profit (including halo 5 consoles, controllers ect) of any halo game at launch. You dont see companys releasing sales numbers anymore because investors dont care about the numbers only the $$$$, very, very few companys still release numbers sold

Yet halo is number 4 on xbox right now so…

I think one must consider the fact that there aren’t as many xbone owners as there was 360 owners. Still scary numbers.

Keep in mind the install base of xbox one compared to xbox 360 during the release of 3, reach and 4.

Yea but did 343i actually check the Total Sales numbers for the past Halos. Did they go back and recalculate. Or did they simply compare their numbers(*Consoles, Controllers, Headsets, All Editions, Microtransactions, etc.) versus the Past Halos which simply released total Sales from Copies Sold. Meaning they would include Regular, Legendary and Collector’s Editions. Because I know that Bungie would never announce Consoles Sold as part of the Game Sales because that has nothing to do with game sales.

I would love to know the digital purchase numbers as well since it is tbe most downloaded game at launch of all time or whatever.

Could have been worse, could have been better. And to consider that a lot of people are “stuck” on 360 too.

This is the XBOX Wire article claiming Halo5 had a good launch.

Christ its like talking to a brick wall. It has a high percentage of xbox one users playing it regularly anything else is meaningless.

So do you want the game to fail and do bad? Is that the only reason you are here? Does constantly trying to devalue Halo 5 give you some sort of sick self satisfaction? Whats your point here?

Remember that digital sales are not shown and are a popular way to buy games now
