http://www.vgchartz.com/article/262144/halo-5-guardians-sells-an-estimated-146m-first-week/ Halo 5: Guardians sold 1,457,849 units first week worldwide at retail, according to our own estimates, which can be viewed on the VGChartz Global Weekly Chart for the week ending October 31st.
Breaking down the sales by region, the game comfortably sold best in the US, with 930,385 units sold (64%), compared to 361,963 units sold in Europe (25%).
Looking more closely at Halo 5: Guardians’ European sales, it sold 157,895 units in the UK, 45,003 units in Germany, and 55,647 units in France.
Here is how Halo 5: Guardians’ first week sales compare to other games in the franchise*:
Halo 3 (X360) - 3.81 million - Halo: Reach (X360) - 3.70 million - Halo 4 (X360) - 3.66 million - Halo 3: ODST (X360) - 2.21 million - Halo 5: Guardians (XOne) - 1.46 million - Halo: The Master Chief Collection (XOne) - 0.90 million - Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary (X360) - 0.73 million - Halo Wars (X360) - 0.60 million_*Note - We do not have frst week sales for Halo: Combat Evolved (Xbox ) and Halo 2 (Xbox), which is why they are missing from the list_ Halo 5: Guardians launched worldwide on October 27th exclusively for the Xbox One.
Well at least the game is really popular in terms of Streaming. And I’m sure there is a lot of people playing.
31k people viewing Fallout4 on Twitch. - 24k people viewing BO3 on Twitch. - 10k people viewing Star Wars Battlefront on Twitch. - 3.4k people viewing Destiny on Twitch. - 556 people viewing Halo5 on Twitch.
yeah these numbers dont seem right man, without 343i realeasing the infor the numbers will never be near accurate. The game is defiantly more popular than ODST and would have sold at least twice the numbers that MCC did in the first week (due to xbone being new and it being a remake). plus number dont matter anymore, profit does and 343i has already stated that halo 5 has had the largest profit (including halo 5 consoles, controllers ect) of any halo game at launch. You dont see companys releasing sales numbers anymore because investors dont care about the numbers only the $$$$, very, very few companys still release numbers sold

> Digital is often 10-25% so If you divide by .75 you get 2 million copies sold.
Keep in mind the install base of xbox one compared to xbox 360 during the release of 3, reach and 4.

Yea but did 343i actually check the Total Sales numbers for the past Halos. Did they go back and recalculate. Or did they simply compare their numbers(*Consoles, Controllers, Headsets, All Editions, Microtransactions, etc.) versus the Past Halos which simply released total Sales from Copies Sold. Meaning they would include Regular, Legendary and Collector’s Editions. Because I know that Bungie would never announce Consoles Sold as part of the Game Sales because that has nothing to do with game sales.
So do you want the game to fail and do bad? Is that the only reason you are here? Does constantly trying to devalue Halo 5 give you some sort of sick self satisfaction? Whats your point here?
