Hey Devs, will there be a classic playlist?

I was just reading and watching about how alot of people are mad at the fact that in Halo 4 you all don’t start out on equal ground. You know what would change alot of old school Halo fans minds? Classic playlists with all the enhancements turned off. 4 playlists: Classic Team Slayer, Classic Team Objective, Classic FFA, and Classic BTB. Boom, now you have just pulled the rug out from under their argument. Any Dev care to comment on whether these playlists (or something like them) will be available at launch? Because, I’m pretty certain if you guys at 343i made a new trailer showing off the classic playlists, alot of the old-school Halo fans might come back. Just sayin’

Yes. There will be classic playlists.

To quote the bulletin “There will also be playlists available that do not utilize loadouts or armor mods.”

> alot

The Alot is Better Than You at Everything.

Mmm, that sounds delicious. I’ll be looking forward to them. (Hopefully they don’t utilize Sprint either).

Go to bed

Sweet. Then they really should make a trailer showing off the classic playlists. It seems the loadouts is what is driving alot of hardcore Halo fans away. If they pushed some PR saying “Hey, we have playlists that don’t use them!” then they might come back. I’d just hate to see the community torn apart over something that is more or less optional.

I probably won’t touch the Classic Playlist that much if all it is Clones in an Arena, I like the individuality of the Infinity Slayer type where you have to Adapt and Overcome whatever the enemy is using. War Games equals Canon Spartan IV Training right. We fight Covenant and Prometheans in Campaign and Spartan Ops and they all have their loadouts so were just training against what will be similar to a Covenant Promethean Battle.
Imagine that Spartan IV carrying the Carbine is a Elite or the one carrying a Scattershot is a Promethean. We’re training to fight these guys in Spartan Ops. Don’t know if Spartan Ops is ever gonna have a Arena style mission where you fight the Covies and Prometheans on a map like Asylum.

I agree. 343i should make it more known or made a bulletin dedicated to classic playlists or something like that to let those particular fans know that it’s all still there.

Check the newest bulletin it already says that there are some playlists that don’t use them.

I’d just like 2 token Classic playlists; 4v4 with mixed slayer/objective and a BTB with mixed slayer/objective and some rare goodie gametypes (like heavies in H3) thrown into the mix. A 6v6 DLC classic playlist would also be nice, but that may be pushing it…

Could there be people who want to throw out Classic like the people who want to throw out AA, perks, and all that stuff?
