Hey at least its not COD

I know this game is not perfect and things can get better. Like most of you guys I remember just being mesmerized by Halo CE and Halo 2 and it is very hard to recreate those feeling of when you were a kid. I think that was just a special time in console gaming before it was a billion dollar industry, now its just paid DLC, micro-transactions and half built games. I was getting really sick of paid DLC and when 343 said they were going to offer free downloadable content I was ecstatic. I was so happy that someone was doing something different from the COD money making system. They pump out a new COD every year that basically the same game then offer DLC a month after the release. The REQ system can be frustrating but at least I don’t feel like I’m missing something when new maps come out. I understand the armor complaint but I don’t really care what my guy looks like, just about the game play. So my conclusion is that while Halo 5 hasn’t recreate those feelings of when I was a kid, in a game genre ruled by COD it is something a little different and I enjoy it.

Just finished COD’s campaign this past weekend. the ending was terrible. As in not entertaining. A lot worse than the ending to Mass Effect 3 that so many people complained about. The Halo 5 campaign is much much better.

Glad to see someone levelheaded still exists in the community

Truth be told halo 5 has never felt like COD it was highly comparable to AW back when the beta came out but felt nothing alike.

I think its more to do with the fact COD and a lot of shooters seem to be so similar now that is hard for some to try and distinguish their features and what they offer. Way I see it just choose the one you like the best and play that one.

In general I am not a fan of COD. Did not purchase a cod since WAW until I picked up BO3. I had WAY more fun with the BO3 co-op campaign than I did with the H5 co-op campaign. Plus when you finish the COD campaign, another entire co-op campaign unlocks called Nightmare unlocks and it is much more difficult with way more enemies and even a different story. BO3 IMO is by far one of the best COD games they have ever created. Right up there with WAW. The BO3 campaign was actually VERY good. Also as an overall package, BO3 has way more than H5.

Plus, wait for it, you can play online with randoms in every single co-op campaign and game mode. Along with drop in drop out for the co-op campaign. Something I wish H5 had. You can only play co-op with friends in H5.

On the other hand BO3 does not have Warzone and I love Warzone.

Agreed the writing was very bad, an embarrassment in fact, I had no clue where they came up with that -Yoink-. At least with Halo 5 it had diversity and scope.

Thats the good thing about halo. they sell you the whole game unlike others where you get 70% of the game and have to buy the rest.
The Req cards you can buy with real money in halo can be also bought with in game points you earn for playing. you can’t get mad at that.

You want to know my secret? There is three games: CoD, Halo and battlefield all cost the same initial price with no DLC. Believe it or not, I never played battlefield, played a little of CoD because of my friend and decided to only go for Halo. Why? Because why be an average player in all three game when you can excel in one? I’m not saying I am a pro player as I am far from that, but I am above average and I like Halo too much to go play any other shooter

Its CoD, you’re guaranteed a frustrating multiplayer populated by Twitch streamers and a crappy campaign.

The new standard:
“Hey, at least it’s not COD”.
Here’s $70.

yea but COD and BF both bring out DLC that splits up the community of people who play it because you are kept from playing certain playlists if you do not buy the DLC stuff.

They’ve just introduced COD points now where you can pay real money to buy more supply drops. Alright granted its very similar to how the REQ thing works but:

  • 200 CP for $1.99 USD
  • 1100 CP for $9.99 USD
  • 2400 CP for $19.99 USD
  • 5000 CP for $39.99 USD1 supply drop (Rare ) is 200 CP

Gold Req pack is $3
Silver is $2
All the money from req purchases goes to MLG prize pool

So from experience a rare supply drop in COD gives you nothing but worthless crap most of the time, whereas some cool and useful stuff can come in the form of a gold req pack well sometimes anyway.

Whatever the case Halo 5 has got a free DLC package whereas COD will undoubtedly have paid DLC with a season pass worth $50 or in my case £35.

Up to you guys which is better value for money, I know what I would pick.

I haven’t played COD since BO1, and it was at a friends house. I once owned a copy of MW2 because that same friend had two and gave me one, it lasted for about two months on my shelf before i sold it. I have been playing Halo since i bought my first Xbox360, and loved it since much earlier. Halo 5 feels like a fresh game, with new additions. BO3 justs seems like a mash-up consisting of the abilities from Destiny, classes like in a MOBA and the movement of Titanfall.

I didn’t mention anything about the DLC because I have always pay for the DLC in Halo as this is my best franchise. But I do 100% agree with you it does split the community. In general, I support the game I love. I will buy the DLC, good or not, if I love the game that is my way to do things

Unfortunately, COD is the standard. I also love the Halo universe and I don’t think I wasted $70. I think Halo 5 is a blast

Community say Halo does not feel Halo anymore. I’m curious to see what the CoD community looks like because this game is far from what it use to be. Game mechanics looks so weird right now to me. It evolved as a futuristic shooter but what about the previous CoD? Just my opinion there

I thought the same thing but you just have to get used to it. Im starting to like it more after playing it more.
