Hey 343i, why not...

You guys and girls know how in just about every video game for the console, there’s preset control schemes right? Well why not, in the case of Halo 4, allow players to set up their own control schemes completely! Allow the player to choose which button is assigned to which ever function at hand. Like for example, if I wanted the fire button to be right bumper over right trigger and to be able to throw my grenades using my left bumper over left trigger, why not right? What harm would there be in allowing us as the players to literally customize our own controls instead of using preset schemes. It’s just an idea. Maybe a bit of a stupid one at that to some of you. But what do you guys and girls think? Thoughts? Potatoes?

I think its a great idea, its something that i really liked about Nintendo’s Conduit and Conduit 2. and it in no way affected the game play, I personally usually use the default controls, but custom controls will let people do what makes them comfortable

Thank you for replying. My topics seem to get buried very often easily.

seems like a good idea

It’s probably too late in the Dev cycle for something like this to be added, to be perfectly honest. (IMO)

Button layouts are to the game like custom armor is to the spartan. its Purely cosmetic and doesn’t change the way the game is played.

#5 Fans have been asking for this since before the release of H3. I think it’s a great idea personally, but if they haven’t added it yet then you’re most likely right. Still wouldn’t hurt to try though right?

mmm I would appreciate something like that but seeing as halo’s controls are usually around where most other first person shooters are I don’t mind and I find it comfortable… But I really do think halo should have implemented your idea since the beggining

Agreed it will help gamers with disabilities too.

I’m not trying to discredit the OP, but just so we are all clear, custom controls isn’t a new ground-breaking idea, it has been implemented in other games before and worked really well, but yes i agree that it should be in halo
