As an artist, I’ve worked in the game industry as a concept artist for a few years, and I’ve always wanted a chance to design an armor or two for a Halo game. The ground work that 343i has made for Halo5 and the speed at which armor variants can be designed, modeled, textured and skinned, I think 343i should consider opening up a competition of sorts for fans to design armor sets. 343i could provide the under armor templates, and we the community would vote on our favorites.
343i could use a little more good publicity and this would also allow all those people saying how terrible the armor designs are, to showcase what they feel would be better designs.
Just a thought, might help to unite the community a little more as well.
I like this idea, since fans would have some pretty sweet armor designs. I also really don’t like more than half of 343’s armors tbh.
I would like this so much! I’ve seen so many artists design their own fan made armor before and I would like to see something like that implemented in the game.

Mock up some ideas, send in a portfolio and maybe they’ll commission you for a few if you’re good enough?

Pass this on to your friends, have them read this and reply. The community fought for Firefight, and we will have it in a couple months!
I think this idea can work, we just need eyes on and generate a good amount of community feedback

They can’t get any worse than the Seeker helmet.
This is an excellent idea! Seeing as most of us grew up with all the originals, the inspiration for these armors would be that very simple, bulky militaristic look that we all love.
Since 343 likes some of the communities maps enough to put them into the game, why not implement some fan made armor, I know that some people who play halo are VERY talented and I would love to see some armor that the community would truly love.
I was thinking this also…Dead or Alive did this…and had it on their facebook page back when I had a facebook…I would love to design an armor variant…But I no longer have photoshop and illustrator and I am a bit rusty LOL…So at most I could put out a sketch…But I was planning on working in the gaming industry as well. I went to the Art Institute in Miami for a while for graphic design didn’t switch careers though…But I hope this idea works…Cheers.

Yea just cause they are submitted doesn’t mean they are put into the game… I mean think a little bit not every map made by the community gets added into MM…
How about they allow us to attach decals to armor. Kind of like Forza. Allow us to customize the armour the way we want it. I really would like to see a camo armour.
