I’m not really a huge fan of messing around with a ton of armor. Never been a big fan of having to pick so many different pieces that no one but me was going to notice but me. But in Halo 4, 343i introduced Locust armor. In order to get it, I had to play some weird King of the Hill game sponsored by 7eleven on my phone. That armor was Legen…wait for it…DARY. I enjoy opening the gold req packs as it brings me similar excitement to my youth when opening Poke’Mon cards. I could do without opening a req pack and getting a million Pidgey’s…excuse me, I mean mongooses…mongi…mongeese? (I’ll go with that). I get a million Mongeese and I’m ok with that. It’s part of the req pack system, and as I continue playing more games and unlocking more req certifications I’ll have more of a variety of req cards that come in. However, I see how many pieces of armor and weapon skins are available. The chances of me getting the Locust helmet are next to none without spending a ton of money or a ton of time playing halo. We’ll start the bidding at $20, can I please just buy the 1 helmet I want?

Idk why armor is in REQs anyway, its all luck. Wish armor was rewarded for challenges or something, rather than random -Yoink- left and right.

I’d love that option, but this makes them so much money, I don’t see them ever releasing specific items any time soon… I’ve gone through 50k request points and about 30 in cash… still nothing worth equipping… I have an ungodly amount of mongoose,saw, and needlers though… and they said gold packs were good… I’ve been getting the same trash out of my folds as some people do silver and bronze…
I completely agree.
My idea is this: we should be able to buy a piece of armour we like using REQ points instead of wasting them on packs. So, for example, an armour piece could sell for 1000 REQ points. That’s less than a Bronze pack, but after all, you’re only getting one piece, as opposed to the possible 2 you could get in Silver & Gold REQs.
Opening REQ packs are so depressing for me. I’m starting to hate mongooses. I want to get rid of all the dumb certification I have.
I’d rather them be earned through challenges than sold directly. If everyone could just buy the couple of crazy/amazing armor pieces in the game (especially and the absurdly low price of 1000 req points, which is less than one warzone game earns you), then we’d have everyone looking the same again. If that were the case, it defeats the point of customization. Now awarding the best armor for completing really difficult challenges would keep the rarity but eliminate the need to sacrifice your first born to RNGesus.
But Op then you wouldnt have to grind for days even hours to get it and when you get it what would you then? Theyve made it so you have to grind! To keep people playing!

I also wish there was armor tied to Achievements/Rank, but you should not be able to buy armor.
Agreed, they should also make some where you have to do a specific thing to unlock them like in Halo 3.
If you want a specific armor it should be real cash.
Cause if you buy it with req then req would be dead in a week.
I couldn’t agree more. I don’t like how there’s only 3 packs that you can spend REQ points on, especially since most of the contents are weapons and vehicles for WarZone. I guess it’s sort of ok since you can scrap REQ cards you don’t want into REQ points. It would be nice if there were a cosmetic pack though.
I need Kelly’s armor but i only able to play Arena to get points (warzone don’t work), Arena give me low req points (+ - 800 ), so if i want to unlock Gold pack i need to play a LOT of arena…Please 343 fix warzone, i need more points only to buy gold packs and pray to req gods give me Kelly’s armor.
OR
Give ONE armor of the Blue Team for the people who end all the Halos on Legendary.

I do like the mystery of opening REQ packs to see what I am going to get, and filtering through the Mongooses and Storm Rifles to the stuff that interests me, and sure, it is annoying that you only really get armour one piece at a time, but in reality, the mystery does kind of make up for it.
