Still have a challenge where you force the community to intentionally die to the enemy team, so they can fulfill the killjoy requirement.
And you still have RNG challenges in the form of “mangler kills,” “sidekick kills,” etc.
If you want to do that, fine. But at least give us the option to CHOOSE mangle tactical slayer or sidekick tactical slayer. You’re challenge system is incentivizing players to quit their games and makes it more frequent for solo queue players to be subjected to team filling because of it.
I only really see an issue with the killjoy problem.
The other one is rather easy, just can be a pain to get a match where you use those weapons. But then, you get an entire week to complete these tasks and they can all be done in a single day if need be. So…
The only other one I really have issues with is maybe the back attack one. But not in this event for once. It may sound dumb to try to bum rush people for melee. But people blinding bum rush through these maps a lot and out playing them is fairly easy when motion tracker is turned off. Hell, most mangler tactic ops matches most of my kills are usually melee lol.
You say that as if every person who is playing this game has every hour of every week free to play this game.
If you only have 2 hours a day to play, it’s entirely possible to go the full 2 hours without playing mangler slayer. The point isnt that it’s just annoying, the point is that it doesn’t need to exist in that form. They could have easily just made 3 separate playlists for this and eliminated the RNG aspect altogether. If someone doesnt have time to play through all the wrong game modes until they find the right one, then they are incentivized to quit. If the current system is incentivizing players to quit their games, then that means those players are also more likely to be suspended from matchmaking.
Why do players need to choose between wasting time trying to just get the opportunity to complete a single challenge and having a social life or playing other games? I shouldnt feel like I’m being tethered to this game just to sift through this RNG matchmaking that will allow to complete 1 of ny challenges
Uh, simply no. Extremely skilled players combined with some luck (because not everybody has the same difficulty in challenges) perhaps, but for the most that is simply not the case.
I was busy for 2,5 days with only 2 challenges (10 flag returns and 1 stronghold win), simply because the game just kept refusing to give me those matches. I spent seaching about 80!!! matches for the flag one and about 30! for the strongholds one. That is just insane. No way you can do that in a single day in that way.
Yes it is. 343i should know that not everybody is a jobless very skilled player without social life. The challenges should be designed in such a way that an average player can complete them if he plays 2-3 hours per day. Because that is about the average player. People have jobs and families and most are not everybody is extremely skilled but averagely skilled. That is what you need to think about when you make challenges in a game.
And it’s also not like MCC where you can do all challenges at any point you like and if you only get a couple of challenges you already can unlock items (the point system). In Infinite you can only unlock it if you complete every single challenge and in an order that is not your choice. Then it is even more important that you can actually complete them. For a lot of players that is simply not the case right now, since the challenges are way too time consuming.
Haha yes it is because they designed the event in such a way that it wastes all of our time. Stop replying if you have nothing of substance to offer to this discussion.
Dude do you even have an inkling of an idea of what it means to have a job, a house, a family, a social life, other hobbies besides video games, and alos the desire to play other video games? Halo is competing with all of these things. It’s literally their job to convince people to play their game when they have time outside of these things. It’s not a failure to “cater to everyone.” It’s 343 only catering to a the unemployed crowd of people who have absolutely nothing else going on in their lives except time to play Halo.
Like I said before, if you have nothing valuable to add to this discussion, you can stop replying.
Full time job, second job at home, pets, a mother currently on her death bed any time now, family visiting mother, and various other issues going on right now actually. And guess what? I’m on the the last challenge about to get the weekly reward:
This is all the symptom of having to play 1 single playlist in order to fulfil the condition to clear the challenge. If we could clear this in any other mode, the challenge wouldn’t be as frustrating, but it’s also slightly harder since Mangler needs to perfect 3 shot headshot to kill a Shielded enemy.
If not for the fact you have to grind this one single playlist over and over and play the same mode over and over, the Event wouldn’t have felt so suffocating.
That was without a doubt the most useless post I’ve ever seen on this forum. You added nothin mg constructive and everybody who has read that post has become dumber because of it. May God have mercy on your soul.
Elden Ring doesn’t randomly require you to use a specific weapon to kill a boss though, neither does it randomly spawn you with one of three weapons whenever you attempt the boss again.
Lol if the game had enough substance, then they wouldnt need to worry about players not playing their game after a few days of the event now would they?
So 343 holding their fanbase hostage by appealing to FOMO during these events is justified by them having good population for it, is that what youre saying?
Lol bowing out after doubling down on a nonsensical rhetoric because you realized no one else actually agrees with anything youre saying. Thanks for adding nothing
