the only thing F2P did to infinite is make mp more acseisble to others (serisouly I have a friend whose parents think $10 is exspinve) now I know some think that F2P made the current issues happen but thats not true
if ifnitnie was like the past halos where both SP and MP were one bundle to buy wed still have the same issues we’d still have the store problem, the pass problem, no progression out side of the pass no performance xp and the rest so F2P doesn’t mean the issues we have are a result of it they would’ve happened regardless if it P2P.

Correction, what it did was have 343 strip the game to Barebone to sell back to the players a piece at a time that most of what was earnable in-game is now behind a dumb paywall in one form or another. I don’t know why the players even think the battel pass “is a deal” vs what we used to have for a full-priced game.
$10 isn’t jack, but what options do you really have in this game for that $10 knowing all the false promises 343 literally made about the game before it was released?
Is it safe to say jack…?

Halo 5s launch is bad.
Halo infnites is worse.
If it launched with multiplayer and campagin like the old days it would be on par with Halo 5s launch
We needed something that goes past both launches.
Only way they could’ve done that is release missing features with the game but we are already past that point
Depending on someone’s financial situation 10 bucks can be expensive way to poor shame there my dude
no my friends financial situation to my knoldgwe is good and its not shaming even he thinks its ridiculous
If Infinite wasn’t F2P its complaints would be cut to maybe 1/4th what it is now.
There would be far fewer people to complain about it basically.
I know myself personally played Halo 4 for a few months, did everything I wanted to, then just moved on.
Not necessarily. If we’d have had to pay for this incomplete broken -Yoink!- game then I’m sure the player base would be venting a whole lot more and demanding refunds. This game is in an unacceptable state for a paid for game and I’d argue the fact that it is F2P means a lot of ppl don’t bother to complain…they just stop playing.
has kind my point folks think F2P is like the main reason for all of this when like you said it was paid we’d be here but in a worse state
Still had a better launch than Battlefield/CoD Vanguard…
Not to mention it was arguably better at launch because back then BTB was working
Yep F2P is the reason why we have the crappy BP, crappy progression system and overpriced items in the game store…F2P is not to blame for all the issues in gameplay such as the servers, matchmaking, ranked system, hit reg, melee, desync, etc
Being a bit better than other games that also failed miserably at launch or game modes that used to work a few days ago doesn’t even come close to justifying or excusing the piss poor state this game is in right now.
I also despise this argument… Other games DO impact the perception of this game. It wasn’t too long ago that Cyberpunk 2077 came out… Compared to the vast majority of games on launch Infinite is a bastion of hope.
Halo 4/5 also had horrible launches, but people forget that because that was years ago, instead they like to think Infinite is the only game in the series that was released unfinished. One could argue that 4/5 and even Halo 2 were released unfinished.

when if it was paid I doubt that be the cause I feel like either way the system we have in place would’ve been there regardless
If Infinite wasn’t F2P, a fraction of the current player base would be here.
The truth is that Xbox Live is expensive. Most people don’t want to pay for it, and many can’t afford it at all. Why have a subscription service for a simple multiplayer shooter? It’s much more customer-friendly just to monetize cosmetics to pay the bills. F2P is way better than the old system.

I think you misinterpreted what I said lol.
My point was that a lot of the criticisms/complaints were only possible because the game was/is so popular.
I’ve had the pleasure of playing games that were actually dead (Vikings: Wolves of Midgard or something IIRC) and it had very very few reviews and you really don’t see anything close to the negativity you see with Infinite. Its because Infinite has more than like a thousand people that played it.
