First and foremost, yes I know that nothing we’ve seen is final, I am judging by the E3 build and you can get angry all you want with me.
Alright, after months and months of saying “I like everything I see” I am finally going to come out and say it. While Halo 4 looks great and 343 seems to be doing a wonderful job, I’ve noticed something. There are only power weapons and grenades on map. WHY? Halo has always been about going and finding a weapon and even with customizable loadouts, there still need to be weapon pick-ups on the map. Anybody else have thoughts about this?
You can always pick up weapons from dead bodies. There’s really no need to have normal weapons on the map when you can choose them in your loadouts from the start.

this you should be fine finding a different weapon or ammo to yours since most people will be using something like a BR/DMR so it should even it out

That’s one of the big differences between Halo and the other guys though. If you want to switch weapons YOU DO IT. You shouldn’t have to die just to trade

thats correct, there will be a wide variety of weaons from bodies, i wonder if you get the other players skins on their guns as well, would be kinda funny to kill someone with their own weapon. but im going to like this new change
The packages cover it, if you need two weapons, use the package that lets you carry two, you’ll most likely have one favorite Close Range and Long Range weapon anyways.
Normal weapons on the map allow players to count on them for spare ammo. Whilst playing Reach don’t you ever run out of ammo? I can remember pretty much all DMR and NR spawns just to get spare ammo or alternate weapons. H4 should have the same.
> No need for normal weapons? What happens if you run out of ammo and no one else is using the same gun as you?

i would recommend choosing the armour mod for more starting ammo and having 2 primary weapons if your confident enough to live after you have burned out all of your ammo, and there is going to be around 7 primary weapons to choose from chances are you will be fine

So what happens when I find out that the guys I’m fighting are all snipers so I have to change strategy and uh oh, I don’t have the right set-up as a loadout. Weapon pickups have been a part of Halo since day 1

your going way over board with this, its halo not a complaining game, and how the hell is everyone going to have all snipers…highly unlikely. if you come againt a sniper use stealth and strategy to get around to sneak up on him
> I never understood the point of that really. Most people never live or hold onto normal weapons long enough to run out of ammo.
yeah you would have to be a good camper which camping will be difficult in halo 4, or you would have to have a great vantage point like on king of the hill or something
It seems like the best mix if you ask me. Custom loadouts for your style of play and the power weapons on map means overall it’s classic Halo evolved, now if I can just play the game to see how it all gels together…
