Here's some info on bypassing Survivor for U

So I’m still working on gathering data for my Youtube series, and my computer is being very difficult. I honestly don’t know why as I don’t download or stream from unreputable sites, and my anti-virus is always kept up to date, but I digress.

So here is the first set of information on bypassing the Survivor mod.

The following conditions will kill a Mantis pilot who is using both Wheelman and Survivor. Again, this isn’t to destroy the vehicle, this is to kill the pilot and bypass their use of the Survivor perk. Remember that these aren’t one shot kills, the ammo usage will vary.

Using only damage boost:
Rockets (x1), Railgun (x2), Sniper (x4), Fuel Rod (x2), Binary (x3), Hijack/Melee

Will always result in a pilot kill:
Sticky Detonator (Single with DB, or 4 in a row without), Hijack/Any grenade plant, Incineration cannon

The Plasma Turret with damage boost is able to kill if the mantis has had its shields dropped first.

Best Method - Incineration cannon, or a hijack with any grenade plant
Runner Up - Damage boost plus a single Rocket or Sticky Detonator grenade.
Third - Damage boost plus two Fuel Rods.

I haven’t tested Mantis vs other vehicles, and will eventually release stats on killing other vehicle pilots as well.

Those who are interested in keeping up to date with my information can feel free to join my group page on FB at Facebook to access information well before it is posted to Youtube (If ever, because again my capture card and program just aren’t wanting to work…)

Haven’t tested the Mantis chain gun on vehicles, however I did test the rockets. The Mantis rockets are like many other explosives, preventing the usage of Survivor.

Yeah, after I’ve tested all ground weapons vs all vehicles, then I’ll test all vehicles vs all vehicles.

I’m the type of guy who likes to gather my own info, especially since at H4 launch there was about 5 different pieces of disinformation being spread around (When anybody could take the 2 minutes to go into Forge/Customs and verify that they weren’t true).

Also I see a lot of videos on Youtube where people incorrectly test things (Saw a guy testing Ordnance priority by the seconds it took him to get a drop, and not the points), and don’t properly account for variables, so I painstakingly gather all of my info personally.

Initially I was trying to get a clan together, who my information would be given to and nobody else, but it is time to level the playing field and free up the exchange of information, so anybody who wants to view my results on my page is welcome to

I Already did tests monday with survivor. I even posted a thread about it. I also already tested all vehicles as well.

In general The IC will kill the pilot MOST of the time. Some angles it will not. But due to the multiple explosions of IC it usually nets a kill.

Rockets and splasers can still land a OHK without damage boost if aimed properly on most vehicles. Rockets will still kill if the explosion of the impact is near the driver. On a wraith or tank it has to hit the cockpit for the rocket to be a OHK. Not the mantis though.

Splasers are the same boat just faster and easier to aim at a distance.

FR is pointless as it’s already bad VS vehicles same with Binary.

It’s also worth noting that Shields begin to regen upon ejection but stop due to being damage from the explosion. Also the amount of shields they lose depends where you shot the vehicle to make it explode. The farther away more of the shields the pilot gets to keep.

Lastly The pilot is able to instantly react upon ejection.
Your information while useful is not really needed. Damage boost is common knowledge to kill all the things. But given the face that we need damage boost in order to secure a kill most of the time is upsetting.

Any way we look at it you are expending ammo that is wasted because you don’t earn a kill.

I haven’t yet seen anyone test the differences between shooting a vehicle and shooting a player who is using Survivor.

From my experience, when the vehicle explodes, enough damage is done to the player by the vehicle explosion to cause his shields to drop. So for example, if you are shooting at a Ghost and the driver’s shields are mostly down, when the vehicle blows up, the driver should die by the explosion. I haven’t tested this, of course, this is just observation.

As the one person stated before, the mod recharges your shields instantly from the ejection, to compensate for the loss of shields from the explosion of the vehicle. In the end your shields remain about the same from when you were in the vehicle to when you land and run away.

As for shooting the player, if you shoot the player, there isn’t anything Survivor can do because you aren’t shooting their vehicle and blowing it up.

My friend and I were testing the Spartan Laser with survivor, and he lasered me out of my Warthog on accident… :stuck_out_tongue:
