> i also thought it worth mentioning that i harassed Frank O’Connor about this when i saw him about to be interviewed by IGN, and he said that they ARE implementing a True Skill system similar to Halo 3 and Halo: Reach, however they are still deciding whether or not to make it visible to the players (like in Halo 3).
So many people, including me, have been asking for the visible true skill rank ever since Reach came out. Now’s our chance to make it happen. They’re still deciding and this is something that the community can help with.

My Opinion:
For me, the trueskill rank gave me something to play for and work for. It showed skill and gave people a huge incentive to win. People would get together teams to get their true skill rank up.
Please 343, make it happen, I want the visible trueskill rank.
tis’ an impossible task now that the game has gone gold, meaning that the game is finnished, no more changes are going to be made, they getting read to burn copies and ship them or have already started.

it does the same thing visible and invisible, so why make the UI a little more complicated for something that doesn’t really have an effect when you can just leave it running in the background producing the same effect?
What happens when you plateau? It’s not something to WORK towards, because what it does is just labels you. The top achievable level is only for a small percentage of ALL players.
For every positive kill to death ratio, there is a negative. To every win, there is a loss. We all can’t be the top level. And the way TRUESKILL works is it labels you fast to match you up with people of similar skill.
When you plateau you feel like crap because you can’t go any higher. What happens here? People usually boost to that top level to make themselves feel good and to brag in the lobby.

yea, a lot of forums and message board like places have it so that you can right click on the post number to copy a direct URL to it…
see where it says “#12 posted”? right click on #12 and see what happens
Making TrueSkill visible is definitely something that could happen through update. I bet they’re still doing things with multiplayer right now that’ll go live when Halo 4 comes out.

It’s lonely at the top.
See: Doctor Seuss: Oh the Places You’ll Go.
Edit: Not to mention, Visible and invisible? Invisible simply means you can’t brag about it. which means less headaches for me.
Invisible Trueskill is a plus, yet another reason why 343i is arguably the best thing to ever happen to Halo.
