Hello Halo community! I’ve been watching these forums for a while and I’ve decided to voice my ideas/opinions so…here’s my idea on how to
implement sprint in Halo 6. So what I’ve been thinking is that what if sprint is only used to get around the map faster (and mean ACTUALLY moving faster on a NORMAL sized map, not a stretched out one)
And here’s how it would work, you press the sprint button and enter sprint normally, but while sprinting you can press zoom and it would bring up your
weapon to ONLY “hip fire” (a disadvantage to long range weapons). Being able to shoot while sprinting would keep gameplay flowing normally and stop
cat and mouse situations. These are the basic principles to my idea, so what do you guys think? What would you add/improve to my idea or what
would you remove from it? Discuss and BE CIVIL (we’re tearing each others heads off enough as it is…)

I guess then it’s just matter of what you think would work better for sprint then, bigger maps or smaller maps because honestly I don’t which one we get I just want what the community to be happy.
Well removing sprint is a option but I think 343 is pretty hell bent on keeping sprint. If 343 was actually open to removing sprint then I’m all for it.
Lets say we had sprint on classic sized maps. It would need severe drawbacks. Otherwise it’s just making the game too chaotic.
I’ve said it a million times before and I’ll say it again. Brisk movement speed on properly sized maps just flows way better than any kind of sprint mechanic ever will.

Debatable. Sprint is restricted to forward movement only, and you have a limited cone of fire while sprinting.
Although you can potentially shoot at enemies while sprinting, in practice it’s going to be a pretty rare occurrence.
