Here's a decent idea for a halo spin off game

Here’s an Idea for a spin game: [Campaign]

You begin with having full enhanced mobility (bear with me I know) and it is overwhelmingly powerful. A training simulation is played and you cannot even begin to fathom how the banished are going to defend themselves from you. Perhaps this is delivered via cutscenes. Anyway, in ODST style you are deployed onto a colony that is being slaughtered by brute forces. A piece of cake??!? But your spartans naivety gets them in a bad situation. IDK what it would be but the result of it is that your armour suit is fully handicapped.

The spartan armour is essentially broken.

No more enhanced mobility; no more sprint, boost, slide - not in its traditional form that is. You try to boost and your grav-boots activate (used in specific moments in campaign). You try to ground pound but your boosters shortcirtuit and cause an explosion in a short radius. You try to sprint but your whole armour locks (you can still be shot at and damaged, but it acts like armour lock in the sense that vehicles are destroyed upon collision with you, which was one of the coolest moments armour lock provided). There are endless alternative functions that the enhanced mobility could have when broken. All of them would be linked to your health and deplete it upon use.

All of these alternative uses will establish an image of spartans more akin to the classic ones (Gen 1,2,3); no longer will the armour be the catalyst of murder: you will be.

This is just an idea i had for a spin off game. Feel free to change it, add upon it or disagree with it. I hope 343 takes something like this into consideration. While i cant speak for both sides of Halo fans, i think it will please both of them.

TLDR: Spartan armour being broken is a way for 343 to transition enhanced mobility halo back into more traditional styles of combat.

But I like the movement in halo 5…

that’s why its a spin off game

Ok now that I’ve watched Favyn’s video, I see what you mean. Why not just make it from the viewpoint of an ODST or a Spartan II? I think it’d be easier to do that instead of having a ton of movement mechanics in the first level.
