Here we go again

They won’t, lol. It’s honestly that simple.

Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything, Kent. Forty percent of all people know that.

“So we never use statistics as a result, just hyperbole.” come off it lmao that’s so full of it.

Yep. Here we go… another bitter troll post by someone trying to get a cheap shot in before Season 2 arrives.

Keep your chin up. Your audience will be back in the second half (flat spot) of Season 2.

Unless, that is, that Forge is half as good as it promises to be…

Let’s
Just see how this pans out.

Buy your dress ups for your Spartan Barbie Dolls.

Bet most of you last 3 weeks before you realise nothing changed internally and 2 new maps won’t cover 6 months.

All those Minty Blitz, Hiddenxperia and Halofollower sheep buying into this, will switch from “season 2 battle pass looks good”

Back to the same displeased torrent of rage the community was literally 3 weeks ago, when they announced it was going to be another 6 month season.

“Hey we had to delay by a further 6 months but check out these new armor items”

“Oh wow I can have elite shoulder plates, this undoes the past 6 months of neglect, take my money”

I remember when I was saying season 2 would be 6 months and all the belt I got for thinking that. And it honestly is a case of here we go again.

Also, you know they are working on another mainline halo game atm right?

1000tk is 14.99 AUD.
Which is the currency we use in Australia.
Other places outside of America have their own currency.
Like for example, In Indonesia they use the Rupiah. And have massive inflation. For them, the season 2 battle pass would cost 155028.98RP for those living there.

What do they teach you in the American education system?

Hey so what could you forge on any of the current maps to make for new gametypes and changes?

How could you forge live fire to offer significant changes to the map?

How would you change Aquarius? Maybe block of blue or yellow connector or maybe forge in a ramp from thruster/court up to base flags?

None of the current maps look fun to forge in because they were made without forge in mind.

It boils down to this.
You spent the past 6 months with nothing new to do in a game you want to play.

Now; with something new to do on its way, your all set to jump in again. Money in hand you await your ticket to get back on the train.

But it’s going to arrive at the same station you just thought you left. Because your enabling the same loop.
But how dare I question your decisions as a consumer, you need something new to do and this sure feels like it.

So on the hype train you get. Hoping once again, things will be different.

Toot toot.
All aboard.

Next stop.
Disappointment

The big ticket here is going to be scripting.

H5 scripting was powerful - but clumsy to use and woefully under used.

But if we get the expected changes then yes, there will be a whole world of game types that can be played, even on the current maps. Just the ability to act on the killer opens up a whole new world (H5 only gave you access to the victim) - and combined with the ability to change teams and weapons. Wow. Juggernaut. Infection type games… bring it on.

But of course… there will be a heap of maps from scratch as well.

That’s a bad example… as Live Fire is the one map that probably has the most Forge potential. Apart from having a heap of big open spaces - there is so much wasted verticality. All those tall buildings have tops etc. I imagine the map was initially built with more vertical play in mind - but they ended up closing most of it off.

Probably not a lot you could do… but I would experiment with blocking off the side wings. Building ramps up to mid on both sides. Providing cover from end to end. And maybe even a teleporter at both ends. Think a mini beaver creek type set up.

That could be fun with a Bulldogs only game.

Again, depends on your imagination.

And when Forge is ready they will put a bit more effort into Forge friendly maps.

You’re right. This community has become so starved for new content that they’ll take the lowest quality scraps (Halo Infinite) just to scratch that itch. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about the Halo community, never take their opinion seriously, they’re the second most abrasive, volatile, indecisive community out there.

I see so many people saying Halo Infinite is 343’s best Halo, but it’s not, Halo 4 was. Halo 4 was a full game day 1, 3 forge canvases, forge mode day 1, and plenty of playlists day 1. People only hate on Halo 4 because it was different, not because it was bad.

I find it interesting that you found it necessary to directly acknowledge and counterstate the humor-intended portion of my reply, but all fair points given.

When you’re older you’ll realise 6 months is unfortunately a droplet of time.

Not for a live-service game.

Halo Infinite has been out in that amount of time, and now look at it.

I agree you’d expect more content, but these first 6 months have flown by. As will the next.

I’m not bored of the content we have yet but I guess if I played it for 300+ hours I might be. I’ve put in just over 100 hours on the multiplayer so far.

Hahaha… Sadly as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that electronic media moves at light speed compared to my time. 6 months may only be a droplet of time but these things move even faster.

I’m actually surprised that Battle Royales are still around given the propensity for games to come and go. It would be quite ironic if Battle Royales fade from popularity just at the time when Halo finally releases one.

This is the right information. 20 million different players. This doesn’t exactly mean that many players bought the Battle Pass.

They’re fixing UI
they improved BP value
they improved store value
we’re getting crosscore customization (Jerry Hook even said they are looking to move away from the core system completely)
they’re fixing armor kits
we’re getting rotating playlists
more playlists
more modes
more maps
more CONTENT
we have performance based XP coming
we have service record coming
we have a progression system coming

Shall I go on?

While I don’t agree with a lot of 343’s business decisions pertaining to infinite. I think them charging $10* for the battle pass and giving players the ability to earn $10 in credits back, by completing it - so you never have to buy another battle pass (with money) - is actually a pretty good deal. I think they’re currently course correcting at the moment, while simultaneously trying not to ‘bankrupt’ themselves. I don’t believe microtransactions belong in/have any place in Halo, but at this moment, this is a step in the right direction.

One of my questions is if it costs $10 then and you can get it all beck with no rush, why not just sell the game for money instead of $10 pass that lasts for the rest of the time you play. Seriously question i343 logic in the f2p model. I guess they made a ton of money of the start and will still make more off the shop but the second everyone gets smart and just goes for the battle pass, they will make next to no money in comparison.

I’m curious how many people who bought the pass for Season 1 finished it.

I am guessing people will buy it, not finish it, but still want to buy the next. People also tend to spend more of their own money if they have a gift card.

I bet tons of people spend their 1000 credits before the six mo ths is up too.
