Here is some ACTUAL Feedback...

Simply put, all the hate nonsense being thrown around is rather over the top and unwarranted.

Halo 5 is Halo 5, its not Destiny and 343 is not Bungie. And that’s a GOOD thing. Could the updates have more meat to them? Yes. But that’s a demand you’ll see people making everywhere of practically everyone. I’m Pro Gamer all the way and always advocate for Gamer Rights, but there’s a difference between wanting fair treatment and encouraging a developer to bring more to the table with their creations, compared to just repetitive, over the top negativity. You know exactly the kind of nonsense I’m talking about; “343 this” or “343 that” which are all mostly just insult after insult.

There is seriously no need to get like that. Again, Halo 5 and 343 are NO WHERE NEAR the level of -Yoink- that is the past year and a half from Bungie and Destiny.

The game does in fact have MANY redeeming qualities and a lot of things that 343 got perfect RIGHT OFF THE BAT.

Now, my first post on here I said the game could still use some improvements and now I’m going to touch upon some of those here.

1: “Warzone Spawn Points”- I think the spawns should be re-evaluated. I’ve had a couple games where it will spawn me literally with my back facing several enemies and two times I got spawned off the map. I spawned in and immediately died by falling out of bounds, unable to stop myself.

2: “Matchmaking Shuffle”- Probably my only REAL gripe with the game, I seriously don’t enjoy being in a match and seeing it to the end, winning said match and then being taken out of that lobby and tossed into another game already in progress with our side like 400-500 VP in the hole. It just really kills it for me. I mean I can understand it if I just got on the game and this happens to me in my first match or if I leave Warzone on my own and then come back, but I shouldn’t be getting shuffled around at random every single time. If people leave during a match, that sucks for their team, but I don’t really want to be THAT GUY who gets screwed over by having to fill that vacant spot, ya know?

3: “Requisitions”- I actually, funny enough, DON’T have any real issue with the REQ System. Like none. Its A) NOT Pay to Win which is fantastic and B) you don’t HAVE to spend a single dime on it, it just replaces the standard progression system that you would see in any game. I also don’t have a problem with it being RNG based. However, I don’t think EVERYTHING should be apart of this. For example, I personally feel that Emblems should not be apart of the REQ Packs and instead should all be tied to in-game accomplishments like the Recommendations. I felt as though Halo 4 honestly did a really good job with this. And if you think about it, that makes more sense too because in the lobby you’re gonna see everyone’s emblems, which doing it like this would be able to give you a glance at just what kind of folks you’re dealing with.

4: “Spartan Customization”- I enjoy the various Armors and Helmets in the game, however I was really hoping for more with it. I’d like to see this be expanded upon to allow players the ability of mixing different armor sets together for your own personalized style. Still keep it like how you have it now, where you get the Armor Set from REQ Packs, but include a feature in the game that enables players to swap out the different legs, chest, shoulders and gauntlets like you could with Halo 4 and Halo: Reach.

5: “Split-Screen”- This is a HUGE topic that really ultimately hurt Halo 5 sales, unfortunately. It was THE biggest complaint that the community had and its actually served as the ONLY reason for why a number of folks have not bought it. I tried to convince a friend of mine to get it but he refused ONLY because there was no split-screen for it. The Couch Co-Op is still fully alive and well and not everyone wants or can afford a second HDMI television with another Xbox One + Game. And really, there are plenty of Gamer couples who much prefer that to being on separate screens anyways. Not to mention the many families out there with kids who all like playing together. If you guys added Split-Screen to Halo 5, your sales figures would increase and you would win back those people, not to mention secure the future of Halo 6.

6: “Dual Wielding”- Oh yes, I’m sure this has come up already with others. I personally hated Bungie for removing this feature because I loved it so much. I have been wanting to see it make a comeback for years now. Not every weapon, obviously. But I mean like Dual Magnum or Dual SMG or hell, my favorite thing to do was combo them with like a Magnum in one hand and an SMG in the other like a friggen boss. It would be easy to implement too, you basically just equip a weapon that can be One Handed and approach another weapon that can also be One Handed, hold down the L1 button and presto, you pick it up in your other hand. It replaces your ADS (Left Trigger) so you lose the ability to aim but you can fire with both guns.

7: “More Weapons”- I’d love to see the return of the Brute Hammer which was always a staple for the series for such a long time. Would also love to see the return of the UNSC Grenade Launcher from Halo: Reach and the Halo 4 Sticky Detonator. Also miss the Covenant SMG, the one the Elites generally always used back in the earlier Halo games.

8: “More Vehicles in BTB”- Just a personal bit that’s been on my mind. I actually enjoyed Halo 4 BTB more because all the maps generally featured a wide variety of vehicles in large spaces and there were always plenty to go around, you know what I mean? The current BTB in Halo 5 just feels like the normal modes only with more people on both teams. The Vehicle gameplay is one of those things which always set Halo apart from other FPS games, so I really want to see more of what 343 can do with that. I mean I friggen LOVE the Mantis. You guys blew my socks off with that thing in Halo 4 and I’m just so sad that I have barely gotten to use one in Halo 5 because they either aren’t available or because I never get it in Warzone. I’ve gotten it like ONCE from a Random Vehicle card and that was it. (I’m a huge Mech fan, so yeah, lol)

9: “Stances Showing”- This one is more for the Web Design Team. I love the various stances you guys got in the game but I’m disappointed that they don’t show up for your Spartan on here if you use it as your Avatar. I’d much rather be able to show that off here on the forum or on my profile page.

10: “Unique Modes”- I know I’ve seen others wanting like Infection and such from the other games, and while that might be something folks want… I’d rather see what kind of new, innovative things that you guys over at 343 can do. For example, I’d be interested to see a legit Horde Mode where the kind of enemies you face for different maps are totally random and its just you and the others in a full co-op experience trying to survive against endless waves of enemies. I believe a previous Halo game did try to do this and I actually found it to be a breath of fresh air and far more challenging. It was nice to not always be stuck fighting against others. And you could even have it where the more waves you complete the more Req Points you earn.

That’s all for now. I’ve got other ideas and such but these have been on my mind for quite sometime now. Hopefully the devs see this and good things come of it.

What is this??? Opinions that make sense??? I’m not pro 343 or anti 343 they have done some good and some bad. However the thing you mentioned are very key issues. The only thing I disagree with is the req system. It should go but if it is to stay Armor should be excluded from the RNG rotation. I want to get RNG REQS for warzone and I want to EARN my armor.

Only have to glance at your name to see what you’re all about, mate. Have a good one.

Pretty soon most people wont be “anti 343” either, simply due to 343i not being worth the time.
Did 343i actually did something “good”? I must have missed this for the past few years.

Well did you spend any time playing Halo in the past few years? If the answer is yes… Then 343 did something good. The alternative is a dead series.
