So what is the Fury Road gametype? It is a play on the Big Team Battle: Capture the flag, meant for around 24 people. It is clearly named after the 2015 film “Mad Max Fury Road”. So here is the setup. Everyone spawns with two energy swords; 1 score to win, 3 rounds. 6 players on blue team will spawn near 2 chaingun warthogs and a flag in the middle of a sandy desert canyon. Their job is to take the flag to the capture point, which is at the end of a large desert canyon based off of the desert Australian outback in which Mad Max takes place. The chaingunners are the only players with guns, so they can defend from the attacking force. The other 18 players will spawn on top of a large decline and get on 9 spawned mongoose. There is one plasma pistol to EMP warthogs. The mongoose driver will have to bring the passengers close to the warthog drivers to take them out with the energy swords. There will be ramps and other boosts throughout the long canyon giving the attackers the chance to catch up to the warthog drivers. 1 life only. If the attackers manage to steal the flag from the defenders, they win the game.
So basically, the mongoose attackers spawn maybe 50 feet behind the warthogs. Warthogs get loaded up with flag carrier in one of the passenger seats. The passengers of the attacking mon(geese?) have to energy sword the defending warthogs before they can get to the end and score. For the attackers to catch up to the warthogs, there are ramps with gravity lifts that the attackers can utilize as almost a Mario Cart speed boost. The mon(geese?) can pick up the flag and carry it to victory if they kill the carrier.
Ever since I watched Fury Road for like the 8th time, I thought about this and have been basically spraying my pants over finding time to make this. It will be the first attempt at a forge creation for me because after seeing the new controls, I basically gave up on forge instead of taking 30 minutes to learn them. Lazy lazy me…
