Hemorrhage

Hemorrhage as it stands is a terrible map because everything that made it fun is gone. They should put the Scorpions back in. It wouldn’t be “too powerful” if they simply added weapons that can take it out. A neutral Rocket Launcher or Spartan Laser would be perfect for this or perhaps one for each side. They should replace one of the Hogs with a Gauss Hog as well because I think it would make things more interesting. I find with these additions the Banshee could return as well. When you have Gauss Hogs, Scorpions, Snipers and a Spartan Laser you have no excuse for not being able to take out the “overpowered” Banshee.

Hemorrhage is just too slow without more Vehicles. They were taken out because they’re considered “unbalanced” but I don’t think the problem lies with the vehicles themselves but more with the weapons on the map. You can have these vehicles if you have the right amount of counter weapons as well.

Also, Team Snipers is a Joke on this level. Always bet on Red since they have the largest advantage. They can hit Blue Base from just about anywhere. They even have a rock you can hide behind which lets you shoot them but they can’t shoot you because you’re too well hidden. They can reach their cliff faster than you can reach yours which means they start killing you as you go into the cave. It’s just nonsense and I know it from both sides. Being destroyed as Blue and being the Destroyer as Red. Blue needs help.

yesterday i made and played a bunch of customs on hemm where the rocks int eh middle were removed, rockets at old spot, fuel rod in old spot, GL and concussion on both ridges, sword and ovi in cave, camo in middle, and rocket, chain hogs, rev, 2 ghost, wriath, tank, and banshee. also PP and 2 shotguns were in each base.

It was sooo much fun. In addition to this I made every player spawn with 4 of each grenade which went a long way in countering vehicles.

Personally, Vanilla Hemorrhage needs a Falcon-cherry on the top. No whip cream, no sprinkles or nuts, just the cherry.

Perhaps a few more scattered stones and boulders. Heck even a few human make-shift bases here and there.
Otherwise, I am happy with it.

But that’s not to say Overkill’s buddy’s proposed variant wouldn’t be nice neither. Swap the Banshee with the Falcon and that map would also be awesome. Perhaps add a few more cover locations too. Something to choke the Wraith’s ability to traverse so easily. Tunnel it more with cover stones, yet give the oppourtunity to splash damage hiding enemies.

OR they should unbreak the banshee and the scorpion and it would work great in classic WITHOUT dmrs.
Scorpions were taken out because of rediculus accuracy. It can cross map people out of mid air.

I hate the tank’s magnetism on its turret at medium range. It causes more misses than hits. But from base to base, the Scorpion will devastate a team. The Wraiths aren’t as long range friendly. Even if the Scorpion was Halo3 slow, it’d still be deadly on that map (hence the big hill in the middle of Valhalla, for that, and sniping).

Good times, man. Vehicles were definitely not a problem at all. Lol. I can’t stand Hemm as it is in BTB, but if you add more vehicles and a way to take them out, it’s a blast.

Well the map and gametype i made IMO fixed alot of the problem in BTB. Tanks and banshees are fine but what is needed are counters to these, 8 grenade spawns easily counter tanks without making tanks rolling deathtraps, 2) 0 bloom + Hogs that spawn quickly ensure that banshees are not OP, but once again are still useful. 3) Its BTB not TS so there should be plenty of vehicles to use at all times 4) I hate a lack of weapon variety and even with 0 bloom reachs sandbox is still the most fleshed out to date since CE. GL, concussion, shotties, focus, sword, rockets, and fuel rod are all aplenty in that map. It was the most fun i had on Halo period since CE LANs. I wish more people would try it out =(

Im glad you enjoyed the games! I’ll be sure to host more in the future!

The Scorpion is deadly but if there were the right types of weapons on the map you wouldn’t have to worry about it. I’m actually creating my own version with the modifications I originally posted above.

A very easy way to counter scorpions especially on hemm is to just let your players spawn with 8 nades, tanks are still beast but are very easy to take out.

This also fixs alot of spawn trapping with vehicles as well. Its a big reason why CE was so much fun since mos tpeople played blood gulch with infinate nades turned on.

Yes I can see how that would help. One thing I cannot stand is when the enemy manages to overwhelm you and circle your base with both Revanents or Wraiths, bombarding it with Plasma. Having your whole team spawn with 4 of each grenade would at least give them a fighting chance.

oh trust me way more than i fighting chance, spawning with 8 nades puts you on virtually even terms with pretty much any vehicle save the banshee, but placing 2 hogs on fast respawn time easily counters banshee.

That encircling thing can still happen but it can just as easily be reversed.
