I cant get a gold medal on the mission Ascension to save my life, I play it on just normal so far I complete all the objectives primary and optional with all score increase skulls on and best I ever got was a silver. pls anyone?

I got gold by simply massing Hornets after you build 6 cyclopes to farming the optional objective to destroy vehicles on Legendary. Grunts dont do enough damage and the Banished dont build reavers yet. Hornets also the only thing that can destroy hidden facilities across the water so just spam them after cyclopes are done. Only objective I did not complete is destroying the enemy base but everything else easy. If you earned it, turn on the no checkpoint and save skull and you should have more than enough but you should not need it.
